SingleHop was founded in October of 2006 by Zak Bocca and Dan Ushman and has been offering web hosting services ever since. SingleHop is located in Chicago along with the SingleHop data centers. The clouds are managed with a technology called LEAP. Utilizing LEAP allows the customer to use a variety of cloud hosting and infrastructure products including private and non private cloud nodes and dedicated servers. LEAP is managed from one interface system.
SingleHop managed hosting services have been designed with the philosophy no two customers have the same hosting needs. Managed hosting services allow the customer to pick and choose the server configuration and management features based on the business needs and goals. Managed systems also include backup and storage on a pay per use option. Backup is accomplished by allocating the duties to multiple servers. This creates a balanced work load and ensures the customer the servers are not being overloaded by balancing the work load. It is the basic reliability by redundancy routine.
