How To Say "Happy Mother's Day & Father’s Day 2012"

It’s that time of year again when both Mom and Dad deserve a token of your appreciation. We have assembled a cornucopia of inexpensive and slightly more expensive golf items that convey your love and appreciation for Mom and Dad and make their golfing even more pleasurable.

Laser Link Switch Range Finder

If you are looking for a fast and accurate distance measurement to a flag or bunker , there is no product on the market that out performs the new Laser Link Switch Rangefinder. Instead of fiddling with a Smart Phone or GPS "tool", just point and shoot with the Laser Link Switch. This new rangefinder has two distinct modes controlled by one switch that seamlessly switches between modes.
In the first mode, the QuickShot is for courses that have flagstick reflectors. The second mode, called the Red Hot, is used when there are no reflectors present and takes measurements from trees, flags bunkers, etc. The unit is powered by a 9-volt battery.

The range in QuickShot QS(reflector only) Mode is 400 yards, while the range in Red Hot RH(no reflector) Mode is 900+ yards to a LLG reflector, and 500+ yards to a "non-reflector" object.
Pistol-shape is the "signature shape" of Laser Link rangefinders. The shape allows you to hold the unit away from your face, should you so desire, which eliminates the need to adjust/remove hat or sunglasses to use. The Switch is a little different in that the head of the unit is flat instead of curvy like previous designs. It takes up a little less "horizontal" space in/on a golf bag.
The unit will be available in May.

Two sections are both worthwhile and important: In section 2 titled Faults, Cures In
In Section Two entitled  "Faults, Cures and Drills", Harmon covers some of the more frustrating elements of the game, such as: topped shots, hitting it fat, shanks and anger management.
Section  Section 7 - "From Good to Great" is a good read and the highlight of the DVD.

Gary Player: Golf's Global Ambassador from South Africa to Augusta.

Gary Player: Golf's Global Ambassador from South Africa to AugustaI personally can never get enough of reading about the Black Knight. He has always been an inspiration to me. Gary looks you in the eye and gives you a firm hand shake. He takes his time to talk to you, to help you, and of course, offer his opinion on every subject.
My best memory of Mr. Player was the escorted trip he gave me of the Masters Clubhouse at Augusta, including the Champions Room!

Gary Player's golf career came  full circle in April 2012 when he joined Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus as honorary starters at the Masters Tournament.
Gary rose from humble beginnings in South Africa to become an international golf superstar, and his success at Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters is the highlight of his impressive career. His legacy includes 3 Masters wins, the record for most starts at the Masters and 165 worldwide wins, which includes all the Grand Slam titles on the regular tour and the senior tour.
Most impressive about Gary Player is the way he gives back to the community. Since its establishment, The Gary Player Foundation has raised over $50 million dollars to the support of children’s charities, the betterment of impoverished communities and the expansion of educational opportunities throughout the world.

Player has been called many things over his years in golf. His nickname, the "Black Knight", pays homage to his all-black attire and corporate logo, while "Mr. Fitness" honors his devotion to diet and exercise.
But "Golf's Global Ambassador" might suit him best. Player was the first international champion of the Masters Tournament, and he traveled around the globe to compete against the best and promote the game. In doing so, he inspired multiple generations of international champions, and today the game is more global than ever before.

Player is and always be an inspiration not only to his fellow South Africans but to golfers all around the globe. His other books, "Golf begins at 50", "Golf Fitness" and "Gary Player's Golf Clinic" are worth a read and a great addition to any library collection of golf books.

South Africa = World Cup Fever 2010

If so, and you enjoy world class hotels, lodges and adventures throughout South Africa, there is a one-stop, high end hospitality organization that you can entrust with all your whims and desires. One of the founders in 2004 of this organization, Jack Brotherton, personifies a “man for all seasons”. Not only does he pilot both a helicopter and airplane, but his personality is infectious, he is passionate about Africa and he always makes the time to meet you and make you feel you are the most important person in the room.

His Seasons in Africa Group has to be considered one of the world’s top eco system devotee and hospitality organizations. His Elephant Whispers property is a must see (visit the web site for details) and works in close partnership with EFAF (Elephants for Africa Forever).

Seriously, instead of spending hours and hours trying to get around and figure out what to see and where to stay, Seasons in Africa has probably the best accommodations, best service and best venues anywhere in South Africa.

After arriving in Johannesburg, South Africa’s primary entry gateway, after an extremely long flight from the USA, head for #1 Melrose Boulevard to accommodations that are superb in every respect. Personal service and ambience are just two benefits that are ubiquitous, better than any of the city’s top 5 star hotels!

Instruction Area Gof Tips and Tricks

Having problems with your swing? - Fix your slice! by Johnny Miller

I recently was examining swing sequences of some of the greatest players in history. Knowing that some of these players favored a draw as their standard shot while others preferred a fade, I sought to identify swing features within each group that would explain their respective ball-flight tendencies. Something profound emerged that I think will benefit all golfers, especially those cursed with a wicked slice.

What I found was this: Virtually every accomplished fader of the ball--from Jack Nicklaus to Tiger Woods--displayed a straight left arm at the top of the backswing. Conversely, those who preferred a draw--players like Arnold Palmer and Bobby Jones--maintained a slight bend at the elbow.

This discovery is great news for most slicers, as they tend to do by accident what intentional faders do on purpose. In this article I'll explain why the dynamic works, and how a simple swing change will make a powerful draw your standard shot.
