Being a Thursday throughout the western hemisphere, it is hard to set our kakutougi clocks to wake up for the latest M-1 Global installment. However, being it is Fedor, the alarm clock may be somewhat more amplified this go around.
Emeianenko will fight in what was FIRST thought to be his last bout. Upon a second listen, though, it has been stated Fedor simply said it is up to the man upstairs as to when he retires. This has always been has answer to that question and to think some MMA sites tried to guess otherwise was goofy! (Sorry!!).
Pedro Rizzo has not fought in two years. While he has more than the ability to KO his opposition, chances are he will have a tough time with Fedor. Fedor looks in silly good shape for this fight. A win by Fedor just might give him that special feeling he enjoys when he wins.
On the other hand, Kim Winslow will be looking on, pondering her next victim in the cage. (Huh?)

Alistair Overeem will make his long awaited return to the UFC in December he stated on twitter in the past 24 hours.
Overeem ran into some serious problems when he tested positive for PED's just weeks before he was set to face Junior Dos Santos for the UFC Heavyweight Championship. According to Overeem's doctor, he was injected with a substance that contained a sliver of testosterone in order to speed up the healing of his rib injury. Overeem has denied any additional PED usage and will presumably be tested at an ever increasing amount upon regaining his license.
Dos Santos has been very vocal regarding PEDs in MMA. Recently, the heavyweight champion declared he was going to do all he could to eradicate PEDs in mixed martial arts due to the unfair advantage it gives one fighter over another. While his objective is respectable, the mission is impossible.
Overeem claims he will once again vie for a chance at the belt upon his return, a statement Dana White strongly implied at a recent post fight presser.
Overeem, before joining the UFC was a huge star in Japan. The Dutch fighter won the 2010 K-1 WGP as well as the DREAM heavyweight title just weeks later all the while holding the Strikeforce heavyweight championship. His rapid increase in body mass has always made the masses skeptical of his conditioning, however, this was the first time any issue had arisen.
Zuffa generally puts on a blockbuster NYE show and Overeem, so it seems, would like to take part of that show.
