Since inception in 1994, ULGA has attained a number of achievements, namely:

1. a)Uniting and strengthening the bargaining and lobbying power of Members (Local Governments) .ULGA has provided LGs (higher and lower inclusive of affiliate associations such as ALGAOU and UDICOSA) with a forum to come together as a common voice to articulate LG issues.
