Reporters Without Borders condemns the censorship of the photographic exhibition of Anh Sehong. Besides their aesthetic quality, these photographs, supported by documentary searches are an important work of information that must be shown to as many people as possible, without political consideration. Lobbying, in a nationalist fervor, to prevent their publicity, is in direct violation of freedom of information, and it would be unfortunate that a private company as Nikkon become an accomplice, by its passivity, of such censorship. We call for the maintenance of the exhibitions of Anh Sehong and an investigation to determine if intimidation were perpetrated by individuals opposed to the photographer’s work. We also urge the Japanese authorities to ensure the safety of the photographer and his family, after his personalinformation was disclosed on the Internet. ”
