Sea Shepherd Conservation Society calls out for help to save its captain

New Europe reported on 14 May on the arrest of Captain Paul Watson, the founder of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, and the possible extradition to Costa Rica concerning a past incident during a shark-finning mission.

It has been now reported that German officials have decided to proceed with the extradition of Watson to Costa Rica.

The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society has called upon supporters of the Society and to people who love the sea and want to conserve it, to try and convince German officials at the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to step in and overturn their decision.

Supporters can contact Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger, the Federal Minister of Justice in Berlin, Germany.

The address and a sample letter are available on their website, but you can click on the link to go there directly.
