Music is for the world no matter who made it or where it's from. It's music that brings the world together. No matter where you're from or what language you speak, music can reach out to you through the "feelings" in them. Be it through singing w/ your own voice or through a program like Vocaloid or just plain instrumentals. If people don't want to hear/watch something on youtube then they should just not watch it. That may be true, except for one thing... how the hell can the Koreans steal Vocaloid if Yamaha themselves gave them the rights to create a licensed Vocaloid? In fact "origins" have nothing to do with this video. With the variety of Japanese Vocaloids it's impossible to even claim the origins of Vocaloid.
Also the Japanese aren't so original because most of the stuff they do was inspired by China, even their own language, so they aren't so innocent either when it comes to this subject.

I'm friends with SeyrenLK, and even an admin for his facebook page. He has worked for SEGA, and he has contacts with SEGA and Crypton. Plus he's a youtube partner. I got my information from him. If you're calling me a liar, then you're also calling SeyrenLK, one of the biggest names in the Vocaloid comminuty, a liar.
This has been solved for 2 months now. And yes, there HAS been official announcements on this, but just not in English. So I took responsibility and posted it on Mikufan.
If there is an official announcement, would you tell us where we can check it. If you spread information without the basis, there is a risk you are going to be blamed as a liar. "One of the biggest names in Vocaloid community" So what? It doesn't mean you can spread out the information without basis.
Rather than trying to argue it, I'm going to work to have an official announcement posted directly on Hatsune Miku's facebook page. That should put everyone's mind at ease. I can see people will still have issues with this despite the fact that videos stopped vanishing two months ago. Videos that still appear to be "vanishing" now are disappearing because the entire account that contained the video was terminated on claims for other content they were hosting.
If you guys want to help out and get an official English announcement from Crypton posted for the world to see, send an email to mpsales(at)crypton.co.jp that breifly explains the situation, and ask them to make an official announcement on it. The more people we have doing this, the better.

Dec 2011: Korean artists took up the top ten chart for London Olympic ceremony.
Jan 2012: Vote for Miku campaign starts and Miku overtook all the Korean Artists ahead of her and reached to the top of the ranking and stretched the lead.
Feb 2012: Miku videos gets deleted in a massive scale.
It may look like Korean deleted the videos because Miku is bothering K-POP and SeeU.
Crypton's sorted everything out. The best option (in my opinion) to be done at this point is to re-educate those who aren't aware that it's been taken care of via deleting these older videos and making a new video would be the best option(Though I doubt this will even happen). However, most of the commentors here seem to be simply bashing Korea, which has nothing to do with the copyright problem. They are creating a bad image of the Vocaloid community. I did some little research on this case in Korean websites, (btw I'm Korean and I love all vocaloids.) Among the theories, this seem to be closest to truth: 'Media Interactive Inc' uploaded "Tell your World" by Hatsune Miku on itune, which was used as her advertisement in google chrome. The funny thing is, although Cryton owns Miku and they have allowed ppl to have free copyrights to the media created by Vocaloids. (but not Vocaloids) that company claims all the rights of songs made by Miku.
Plus, the 'Koreans did this' rumor first started in a Japanese website '2ch'. Next was the Olympic survey thing where all the K-pop singers won most of the top 10s.(although Miku won 1st place, some Miku fans must be upset and I don't know why, it's not even official one) But the information that I wrote above is also from 2ch, the website that first said that SeeU's fans have done it. (because her video was not deleted) Please, we Korean fans are also trying hard to save Miku.

You don't know the story behind it then. The London Olympics page had a survey about what songs should be played at the olympics. K-pop fans, being as they are voted so that only K-pop filled the top ten. When 2ch (which is where every racist in Japan lives. 2ch makes Japan seem racist but trust me it's misleading) heard about this they worked to make Miku first place in the poll. After this (days after) Miku videos began to be deleted and you know how obsessive/defensive k-pop fans are, right?

No matter where you're from or what language you speak, music can reach out to you through the "feelings" in them. Even if the "suspect" is caught it doesn't mean it won't happen again. Because of this whole problem the Vocaloid fandom's maturity level concerning the issue has shown the trolls that this fandom is an easy target.

Additionally the Korean President has bigger issues to worry about, he doesn't give a crap about Vocaloids. It's also common sense this isn't a marketing issue. They've almost completely solved the problem, and will make a public announcement when they're done. they don't need any help from fans. They're large corporate companies who can handle it themselves. this whole "save Miku campaign" thing has turned into SPAM! I'm so sorry. that was my retarded sister (we share an account) and she was replying on her phone at the time. On the phone you cannot see if you're replying or not (the option doesn't show up) so thats why she used the old method of replying. My apologizes, she just thought you were talking about this video. "Sea of Japan" "Streets of Japan ( in US)" etc, They try and steal origins of Japanese traditions/cultures. Origami, Cherry Blossom, Kendo, Ninja, when something Japanese become well known to the world, Koreans start claiming the origins.

That may be true, except for one thing... how the hell can the Koreans steal Vocaloid if Yamaha themselves gave them the rights to create a licensed Vocaloid? In fact "origins" have nothing to do with this video. With the variety of Japanese Vocaloids it's impossible to even claim the origins of Vocaloid.
Also the Japanese aren't so original because most of the stuff they do was inspired by China, even their own language, so they aren't so innocent either when it comes to this subject.

Don't ignore that Korean government is trying to steal Japanese culture.
They introduce fake Kendo, Aikido, Ninja as Korean culture and insisted these are originated by Korea at "Korean connection in Paris" which is supported by Korean government.
I think the president of Korea has enough power to hire many people to delete famous Hastune Miku videos by claiming false copyright on these videos on Youtube.

Its not the official vote for the Olympics when she was REMOVED FROM IT cuz she wasn't
''real'' YES she is real, Olympic people didn't think she's real.

If there is an official announcement, would you tell us where we can check it. If you spread information without the basis, there is a risk you are going to be blamed as a liar. Rather than trying to argue it, I'm going to work to have an official announcement posted directly on Hatsune Miku's facebook page. That should put everyone's mind at ease. I can see people will still have issues with this despite the fact that videos stopped vanishing two months ago. Videos that still appear to be "vanishing" now are disappearing because the entire account that contained the video was terminated on claims for other content they were hosting.

If you guys want to help out and get an official English announcement from Crypton posted for the world to see, send an email to mpsales(at)crypton.co.jp that breifly explains the situation, and ask them to make an official announcement on it. The more people we have doing this, the better.
I've been fighting to have this put to rest, and this is the last step in convincing the rest of the community.

"I want to know what's going on first". There's NOTHING going on. That's the whole point. That's why I'm saying we need to get Crypton to post something for everyone to see.
And I'll admit, my original post was somewhat exaggerated. It wasn't exactly an "announcement" that Crypton made about it, it was more of a comment acknowledging it. And it's no longer available, as it was over two months ago.
Simply ask them to make an official ENGLISH announcement stating that the problem was solved.

Crypton's sorted everything out. The best option (in my opinion) to be done at this point is to re-educate those who aren't aware that it's been taken care of via deleting these older videos and making a new video would be the best option(Though I doubt this will even happen). Also, to those who are blaming it on Kpop fans. No they have nothing to do with this. Please do not spread misinformation.

Yeah, I agree completely. I came here because I love Vocaloid and am upset about this whole issue. However, most of the commentors here seem to be simply bashing Korea, which has nothing to do with the copyright problem. They are creating a bad image of the Vocaloid community. Wasn't the software supposed to be uniting the world through music? I can say that these people aren't true fans, and if this continues they'll be doing more damage to Miku than the group removing the videos.

I did some little research on this case in Korean websites, (btw I'm Korean and I love all vocaloids.) Among the theories, this seem to be closest to truth: 'Media Interactive Inc' uploaded "Tell your World" by Hatsune Miku on itune, which was used as her advertisement in google chrome. The funny thing is, although Cryton owns Miku and they have allowed ppl to have free copyrights to the media created by Vocaloids. (but not Vocaloids) that company claims all the rights of songs made by Miku.

You don't know the story behind it then. The London Olympics page had a survey about what songs should be played at the olympics. K-pop fans, being as they are voted so that only K-pop filled the top ten. When 2ch (which is where every racist in Japan lives. 2ch makes Japan seem racist but trust me it's misleading) heard about this they worked to make Miku first place in the poll. After this (days after) Miku videos began to be deleted and you know how obsessive/defensive k-pop fans are, right?

I personally think it's non-native K-pop fans. I *never* met annoying Korean K-pop fans and I have a LOT of Korean friends who like K-pop. But *every* non-Korean K-pop fan I met was creepily obsessed and defensive. (there was way too many hyphens in that sentence!)

And what really disgusts me are people who actually treat miku as an actual person... There was this one supposedly "sexy" picture of miku and someone commented "now those are legs" ....... I don't think miku should be deleted but you miku lovers shouldn't be calling Kpop shit. Kpop singers put sweat, time, love, and practice into their music and work. Miku is just a program. The ones you guys should be loving so much is the programmers themselves. Not the blue haired girl with a fake voice. I personally like vocaloid, but a program should never be put in front of a human. Never.

even if KPOP singers do actually put a lot of job in what they do. It's a matter of taste. I dont like kpop songs more than I like any of Miku's songs. People like what they like, not for how much effort a singer puts into their songs. There are a lot of singers that try their best and they just cant achieve as much fame as others because they dont have contact or because their voice isnt so good. So you just can't tell us what we should or not feel for a vocaloid song because the song is real

I didn't say it is fake or not real. I just said that poll is unofficial. The poll wasn't publish by any staff of the London Olympic, some person just put it up there and then people vote, just like a facebook poll u see everyday. So the fact that a lot of people like Miku, vote for her, and make her number 1 in the list doesn't mean that the London Olympic Staff have to make her the singer in the opening night.

I think the culprits are korean extremist group Vank. Thety often submit false request ro japanese anime or J-pop videos. Miku beats their desparate campaign for korean groups to win the London olympics singer vote. That's why Vocaloid videos only with English subititles have been keep deleted.
