Nakaji officially unemployed



Troubled comedienne Nakajima Tomoko (40) is now officially unemployed. Nakajima is currently being sued for millions of Yen in unpaid rent on her apartment and office and hasn't appeared on TV for almost a year. The first hearing on the case was held at the Tokyo District Court on February 14 but neither Nakajima nor a representative showed up. A decision in favor of the real estate company is expected on the 28th of this month.

But although she wasn't working or getting paid, Nakajima was still officially listed as a presenter on four regular variety shows. It was revealed yesterday that her management agency recently agreed with NTV and TBS that she would formally step down from her two shows on each network.

One half of the comedy duo Othello, Nakajima is said to be sharing her apartment with a female fortune teller who dictates her every move. One celebrity friend who recently visited her said that she has been turned against her comedy partner Matsushima Nahomi (40). "I don't even want to see her face," she reportedly said.

TBH, law about this sorts of things are quite complicated. This reminds me of what happened recently in France: a family cut ties with EVERYONE for ten years,all of them living in one big house (great great grand parents, their chidren etc. 4 or 5 generations all together and some were as young as 2 years old) because of one man who was controlling their mind. They would give him all their money, go out only to buy groceries and not speak with anyone. They left schools, their jobs, everything)

Ca you imagine that ? For 10 years. One man, the husband of the woman who was the first to fall prey to that man(long story short, since he didnt fell prey to that guy, they throw him out of the house, making them believe, even his wife of 20 uears, that he wanted to kil them too) , had written to the Justice, to government, to everyone but they could do nothing: because all of them were adults.

And we had a law about this sorts of things!But since they were adults, nothing was done.

I feel so sorry for her, she really needs help!
But as other comments pointed out, when there are no minors involved it is very difficult to do anything :(

I hope they're at least investigating the 'psychic', usually these people have a shady past and they may be able to find previous victims.

Comedienne Nakajima Tomoko (40, photo left), currently on an extended break due to health problems, is having serious financial problems as well, according to today's issue of weekly magazine "Flash." She is said to owe some ¥6.6 million in back rent on her luxury Tokyo apartment and her nearby management office in a posh area of Tokyo's Shibuya district. A curious angle on the story is that her landlord is none other than popular actor Motoki Masahiro (46) and his wife, actress Uchida Yayako (35). Legal proceedings have already started to recoup the six months rent owed on the ¥450,000-a-month office. Rent on the ¥650,000 apartment is outstanding for the same period. One source says that Nakajima is currently sharing the apartment with a fortune teller who guides her every decision. Her family is said to be so worried about her that they consulted with Tokyo police last autumn.

Figured I'd post this because it goes over how much she owes. This fortune teller/psychic needs to get out, now. I don't know how she's getting away with this.

it was reported that there are some other family members of the female psychic who moved in the same building as well and turned away anyone who tried to visit nakajima

Apparently not. The police aren't able to do anything, as far as I know, because Nakajima is an adult and "capable of taking care of herself".

Maaaaaaybe I've been watching too much Nancy Drew lately...but it seems to me like maybe the court should investigate. I hiiiiiiiiiiiighly doubt this "psychic" is there for anything but money...found susceptible, rich prey and pounced, and is now trying to milk her for all she's worth by not letting anyone else who might possibly make her see the error of her ways get close. >.>

What does the psychic even want with her? Nakajima obviously hasn't had any income for a while. I hope she is safe and the psychic hasn't hurt her or anything...

It really shocked me what Matsushima said!

I mean, weren't they friends or at least partners for a long time? I think that she really should try to do something. Also her friends and family should just get her out of her apartment, with force if necessary.

The article makes it kind of clear that Nakajima is under the control of this fortune teller and can't make her own decisions anymore, so she obviously does need somebody who can help her!!


I hope everything will turn out fine for her, because I've always liked her!!

This is really sad and scary.

Let's just hope that 'psychic' will get out of her life now Nakajima doesn't have money anymore. Although, I really hope that if that's the case her friends and family will help her to overcome those difficulties because once she will realize that she's got nothing left I really hope that her family will prevent her from doing something stupid, that in the case she DOES realize the truth because sometimes people are so brain washed they can't see reality anymore :/

This is such a shame! I like her very much, she seems nice, just like a mama. Let's hope that that stupid psychic will root in hell!

I think her career is over even if this story ends well. The least we can wish for her is that she will get ride of that fortune teller and will have a nice life with her family and her friends.
