The New York ENERGY STAR Labeled Homes Program is developed under the New York Energy $mart SM Program and is funded by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). Introduced in 1995 and sponsored by the United States Department of Energy (DOE) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), ENERGY STAR currently has more than 2,400 builders, developers, retailers and product manufacturers nationwide, all working together to build homes that are approximately 30% more energy efficient.
