Starting with version 11.2, Adobe Flash Player on Windows platforms can regularly check for important updates and install them for you. These updates can include important security fixes and product enhancements.
Updates are delivered via two options. You can also choose to not update your system (not recommended).
Adobe Flash Player regularly checks for important updates, download them to your machine, and installs them automatically in the background. This option ensures that your system is protected at all times and is the best option to select. Adobe Flash Player continues to notify you for major feature bearing releases.
Adobe Flash Player regularly checks for important updates and notifies you when these updates are available. Nothing is installed on your system until you choose to install the update.
This option is not recommended as the Adobe Flash Player never checks for updates and your system is vulnerable to security issues. It's necessary to manually check the adobe.com website to find the latest version of Flash Player.
You can always change the choice you make by navigating to the Advanced tab in your Flash Player Settings Manager. To access the Flash Player Settings Manager, right-click Flash content and select Global Settings. Or, find Flash Player in your Windows Control Panel.
