CEFNARM was formed as on autonomous body on 22.07.2008 to promote the study of management and development issues in Natural Resource Management Sector (NRM). However, CEFNARM has vast experience behind its present form which was gained while functioning as SIFT (State Institute of Forestry Training) From 1987 to 2001 and as Andhra Pradesh Forest Academy from 2001 to till date.
