Aug-21-07		Atking: Still here <Zebra>! How are you? I have another good news to you. The Shogi professional Mr.Honma (6dan) will be in Germany during November. I have not his exact program but he should be in Dussedldorf in the middle of this month. About the game of Mr.Habu Yes of course is very strong in a tactical melee but he can play positionnal chess as well. I remember nearly 10 years ago when I showed quite quickly the famous game Kasparov vs Kramnik (Dos Hermanas 1996) to Mr. Habu and Mr Moriuchi in few sec they stopped me and noted to my intention a mate in 4 (move 29) which was not played by Kramnik... They were playing chess only few weeks since 1994 for Mr. Moriuchi and 95 for Mr. Habu. Quite impressive.

Oct-17-10		Nightsurfer: Talking of Honma-sensei (6dan) and his visit to Germany, hi <Atking>!, there has been published a German-language article featuring Honma-sensei's visit at the Japanese General Consulate Duesseldorf, herewith the link http://www.chessbase.de/nachrichten... ! I have had the chance to meet Honma-sensei there too, and that has been very inspiring for me!

Jul-31-11		An Englishman: Good Evening: I hope that Yoshiharu Habu, who seems to have become inactive in chess since 2008, will return to the game some day. Some of his games are astonishing, and in this one, 18...Black to Play would surely constitute one of the most diabolical Sunday puzzles in CG history.
