Your slice of Americana makes me feel okay without my beloved NYC near by. Everything romanticized in books and movies about the suburban paths the kids walk, on the tracks and under the wires, past the fences in the closed off back yards... absolutely beautiful and a classic!
you know what's weird? i feel the same way... about not living in the country as you do about not living in the city. "y'know, this is still kinda nice... got the urban goodness here n there but still got some quaint charm... i can dig!"
dude i have been trying for like two years to get this shot right, oddly enough. so i'm glad that i FINALLY DID and it resonates with someone!
but yeah there is actually a very busy highway between the middle and left towers-- the bushes hide it. right side of the image is condos, but the left side is rancheros like the one i'm sitting in. XD mine is just outside this shot. it's less nature-ish than it looks (which is why the picture was so hard to get right) but still "just right" IMO.

thanks Shea!

I love the mixture of nature and industrial. The two things I love most in the world.
