I tested it on XP SP2 with all updates and I can confirm it works :)

This program cannot be used for the newest version (5.1.2600.2180) of sfc_os.dll for XP. Because the place to which a patch should be applied is different, WFP does not become invalid.
I expect an early action of the author.

A lifesaver, as I was going to kill either myself or someone close if Microsoft didn't stop harassing my poor modded comp about a changed DLL. Great little app - I recommened Windows File Protection Switcher 1.0 for Windows SP2 uninstalls especially.

    Nice utility. Also try WfpAdmin.

First off, this is an excellent & much needed ap. Aside from replacing "running" system files, which does not have to be done in safe mode (google replacer). (Safe mode? what an idiot. Redundant? The only thing redundant is your stupidity). This makes it easy. I find that I get the stupid error box almost immediately after I reinstall OS. Go figure. I highly recommend this to anyone who gets that error message even once.
