"THE MOST MEMORABLE SOLOIST OF 2011"

The NHK Symphony Orchestra - Japan's most famous professional orchestra - announced that Leif Ove Andsnes has been voted as the Most Memorable Soloist of 2011. The voting, which takes place over a period of 3 months, comes from the audience who particularly appreciated Leif Ove's performances of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No.3 with the NHK Symphony Orchestra conducted by Herbert Blomstedt last September at the NHK hall in Tokyo.

"In spite of the disaster and an accident of nuclear power plants, Mr.Andsnes did decide to visit to Japan last year" writes one friend from Tokyo. "We, all of his fans in Japan, deeply appreciated it."
