サポート/メンテナンスの更新について
サポート/メンテナンスとは「コンテンツアップデート（一部のセキュリティ製品の場合）」「新バージョンへのアップグレード」「電話やemail等によるテクニカルサポート」の権利からなります。更新手続きを行わないと、これらの権利がなくなりますので、更新期限までに必ずお手続きをしてください。

Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition/Symantec Client Securityの有効なサポート/メンテナンスをお持ちのお客様は、現行バージョンをそのまま継続して使用できます。前バージョンおよび旧製品のスタンダードサポート終了日までにバージョンアップの実施をご計画ください。
Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 へバージョンアップを行いたい
メンテナンス/サポート契約には、アップグレードインシュアランスが含まれます。Symantec Endpoint Protectionの有効なメンテナンス/サポート契約をお持ちのお客様は、いつでも（メンテナンス/サポート更新前でも）無償でSymantec Endpoint Protection 12をご利用いただくことが可能です。Symantec Endpoint Protection 12は、専用ページからダウンロード、またはメディアパックを購入いただくことで、いつでも入手可能です。

Symantec Endpoint Protection 12にはライセンス管理の仕組みが加わったと聞いています。どのような管理をされるのですか？ライセンスが無効になった場合どのような制限が発生しますか？
Symantec Endpoint Protection12 には、ライセンス管理の仕組みが加わりました。管理サーバーを利用する場合、ライセンスキーによって、期限とライセンス数を管理いたします。しかし期限が切れたり、ライセンス数を超えるクライアントがあっても機能を制限したりすることはありません。管理者にメールと管理画面上警告が発信されるだけです。
ライセンス違反をしていないことを確認しやすいようにライセンス管理機能を付加いたしました。Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12の場合は、期限が切れたりライセンス数を超えるクライアントがあった場合、定義ファイルのダウンロードができなくなりますので、ご注意ください。
Symantec Endpoint Protection 12はライセンスファイルのインストールが必要ですか？
必要です。ただし管理サーバーを導入してクライアントを管理する場合に限り、管理サーバー上でライセンスファイルをインストールする必要があります。管理サーバーを導入しない場合は、各クライアントにライセンスファイルをインストールする必要はありません。これはSymantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12も同様です。
Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Editionはライセンスの有効期限が切れると使用できなくなりますか？
ライセンスの有効期限が切れると新しい定義ファイルのダウンロードができなくなります。機能は通常通り利用可能ですが、新しいセキュリティ脅威を検出できなくなります。有効期限の60日前から管理者にはEmailで警告のメッセージが送られます。
ライセンス数をこえるPCにSymantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Editionクライアントをインストールした場合、使用上どのような制限が発生しますか？
ライセンス数を超えるPCにSymantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition（以下SEP SBE）クライアントをインストールした場合、超過分のPC上のSEP SBEクライアントは新しい定義ファイルをダウンロードできなくなります。機能は通常通り利用可能ですが、新しいセキュリティ脅威を検出できなくなります。
Symantec Protection Suiteはライセンスファイルのインストールが必要ですか？
必要です。バンドルされているメッセージングセキュリティ製品及び、Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Editionにおいて必要です。ただしSymantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Editionにつきましては、管理サーバーを導入してクライアントを管理する場合に限り、管理サーバー上でライセンスファイルをインストールする必要があります。管理サーバーを導入しない場合は、各クライアントにライセンスファイルをインストールする必要はありません。
Symantec Endpoint Protection 12のクライアントはMac OSに対応していますか？
はい、対応しています。Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12も同様に対応しております。
小、中、高等学校などの教育機関向け「スクールライセンス」はSymantec Endpoint Protection 12 / Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12 / Symantec Protection Suiteでも提供されますか？
