Hello all, forgive the lack of posts lately. I have been a little swamped with uni and other life matters recently and unfortunately the drought will continue for a while longer as I shall be heading off the the country of “No Social Media & Networking” aka China for a six week study program. So this shall be my last post for quite some time.
So the first thing I did after I finished my exams is to give myself a new look and after long consideration I decided on making the slow transformation into a blonde. Now, several dyes later I am officially a goldy blonde.
I even dyed my eyebrows to match ^^
To achieve this wondrous new look I’ve been using these Japanese packet dyes named Palty.
I won’t go into too much detail over the dyes this post but the few pros and cons about this brand of dye is the colours come out pretty well, but if you have a fair amount of hair you will need two to three packets of the stuff to make sure you have enough coverage but the upside is they are quite cheap, roughly $10 ~ $15 from online stores or around $20 retail. Also if you have darker hair you will need to repeat it several times to achieve the colour on the packet. Luckily for me my hair has been bleached once before when I dyed it red at the salon so I was able to jump a few steps. I first used the “Lemon Tea Blonde” foam dye to even out all my re-growth and lighten my hair a little for the final yellowish blonde colour. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to get around to taking any photos during my “Lemon Tea Blonde” stage. Then after a salon treatment and once my hair was healthy enough I threw on the “Sparkling Blonde” bleach dye. This one was rather tricky because I have such long hair and it tangles terribly when wet. I also went through three packets of dye… also I have never attempted to go this light before and oh my f-ing lord and god does it f-ing burn…
On the other hand, 30mins and a shower later, I was now a golden blonde. To be honest it was quite a shock to see in the mirror and it’s been two days and I’m still just getting used to it… it’s a little too anime yellow blonde but it’s still pretty awesome.
