"Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ-the Message-have run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives-words, actions, whatever-be done in the name of Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way." (Col 3 msg)
Some parts of our website are still under construction. Please use what is available as we move closer toward completion.
During Lent we will have a Parish Dinner each Wednesday evening at 5:45 pm in the Parish Hall, including this Wednesday, March 7. Come for the food, good fellowship and a program led by Father Ferebee.
Henri Nouwen said that the longest distance is from the human head to the human heart. Sunday morning Christian education is meant to help bridge this gulf.
At Grace, we offer two classes. One is named after Magaret Stroupe who was a life long member of Grace and was a key figure in Sunday morning formation. The "Margaret Stroupe" class led by Jacques and Diane Geitner is a lectionary based Bible Study, but not limited to the lectionary. Come with an open mind and grow!
On occasion we will be offering a class entitled "Java and Jesus." This will be an open forum with the Rector in the Parish Hall over a cup of coffee.
For more information contact Jacques at 437-1133 or office@gracemorganton.org or simply show up on Sunday morning and you will be welcomed. Classes do not meet during the summer.
The Joyous Movement Exercise Class will return every Wednesday, beginning March 14th through April 25th at 11:00 am. Join us for free classes focusing on stretching, balance, flexibility and endurance. Please sign up on the list at the back of the church or call the church office, 437-1133, to RSVP. Whoever you are, wherever you find yourself in your journey of faith, you are welcome at Grace Episcopal Church.
Our philosophy is simple: Everyone is joyously welcomed. The people of Grace come from a variety of backgrounds and lifestyles. We welcome diversity in our parish as every person is wondrously created in the image of God.
Please join us this Sunday!
