Although I am a doctor, I’m not writing this story as a doctor, but as someone who has tried out Ambien and who has benefited from it a lot. This medication rarely causes side effects and it usually helps people deal with insomnia very quickly and without any particular problems. I have prescribed it many times before and I never thought that I would need it one day too.
When I first started experiencing difficulties sleeping and falling asleep, I was just like any other patient out there. I thought that this was just a phase brought on by who knows what and I believed that it would probably go away the same it appeared. When you are a doctor, no matter how professional or good you actually are, it is always difficult to make judgments and be objective when it comes to you or the members of your family. I wanted to deny that something was wrong for as long as possible.
However, my wife and grandkids noticed that there was something wrong. My grandkids asked me on several occasions why I was so tired even though I hadn’t worked the previous day. They were sad because I couldn’t play with them, but I really didn’t feel like it. I was simply too tired to do it. My wife knew that I wasn’t sleeping very well and she urged me to see a doctor. She even said that I wasn’t able to be objective and that ignoring the problem was irresponsible.
It took me some time to realize what was actually going on, but when my problems didn’t start fading away and when they actually got a lot worse, I realized that it was insomnia that I was dealing with and I started thinking about which medication I should use. From my experience, Ambien was the one that caused side effects in a very small number of cases, which is why I decided to go with it.
And fortunately, I was right. There were no side effects that I experienced and my problem was fixed very quickly. I now have something in common with some of my patients who suffer from insomnia. Now, when people come and complain about the problems usually associated with insomnia, I can understand them better and I definitely have something to recommend, well at least to those that suffer from sleep onset insomnia.
In the end, much like some of my patients suffering from insomnia, I am quite satisfied with Ambien. It helps me live my life as if I have no problems at all and best of all, it helps me get enough sleep so that I can have the energy to play with my grandkids.
