ABC has decided not to air Madonna‘s new commercial for her fragrance, Truth or Dare, because it shows too much skin.  They want clothing to be digitally enhanced to show less cleavage and butt cheek.  The add doesn’t seem too sexy in comparison to other adds out there today.  ABC is owned by Disney, so they do lean on the conservative family style of broadcasting… but do you think this commercial is too sexy for Disney?  Donald Duck doesn’t even wear pants!more

One television network has deemed the ad for Madonna’s new fragrance too racy to air. It’s filled with fishnets, harnesses, and S&M-esque images; in other words the usual. From Madonna I would expect no less. The press release for the new perfume, Truth Or Dare, features this statement from the singer, “My oldest memory of my mother is her perfume. I carry it with me everywhere. She always smelled like gardenias and tuberose. An intoxicating mixture – feminine and mysterious.”

New York Times investigative reporter Charles Duhigg dug into the neuroscience on habits…and what he uncovered is not only fascinating, but could be very useful for most of us who are either trying to quit a bad habit or start (and stick to) a new habit. Listen to my interview with Charles next:

It started in the ’60s with Frankie & Annette in a series of beach movies. The standard was set in ’73 with a soundtrack of teenage doo-wap hits from the 1950′s jukebox in American Graffiti. It was perfected in the ’80s with John Hughes oeuvre of soundtracks that embraced, and made the careers of, new wave tracks so underground that MTV was hardly even playing them — when MTV played everything they could get their hands on.more
