We’re redefining Sunday Funday in this special spring roller derby bout, Skatin’ Fast, Turnin’ Left on April 1.
Charleston’s very own Lowcountry Higrhollers All-Stars hope to keep their undefeated status when they take on the Tallahassee Rollergirls from Florida at 1 p.m. It all happens at The Citadel‘s McAlister Field House, 171 Moultrie St. in downtown Charleston. Doors open at 12:30 p.m.
We’ll have beer and music, plus fun for the kids all day and great raffle prizes. Check out our belly-dancing halftime show, and keep partying after the final whistle at The Royal American, 970 Morrison Drive downtown.
Bout admission is $10 in advance and $14 at the door. Children 10 and younger get in free. A portion of proceeds will benefit Girls Rock Charleston, a music arts camp for Charleston County girls.
Buy advance tickets from any roller girl, East West Health Arts and Hot Wheels on James Island; Mama Q’s Kitchen on Johns Island; Red’s Icehouse in Mount Pleasant; City Lights Coffee, Rogue Wave Surf Shop and the Recovery Room downtown; Tin Roof in West Ashley; EVO Pizzeria in North Charleston; Two Keys Tavern in Goose Creek; or online at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/236107.
