About the Campaign
This campaign is about the future of America and the return of the principle values put forth by the Founding Fathers of our nation. It is about developing long-term strategies for a sound economy, returning God given liberties back to the people, holding up State’s rights, and limiting the powers of the Federal Government.
About Shane
Shane Shepard is a 30 year old Main Street / Community Development Director for the City of Winnsboro, Texas. During his five-year employment with the community, Winnsboro has seen an influx of economic growth and community development projects. The community is a Main Street community and has received recognition through the State as a Certified Retirement Community and as having one of only seven State designated Cultural Art Districts.
Shane received an Associate’s Degree from Texarkana College and later a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Texas A&M-Texarkana. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge in Winnsboro, a founding member of Winnsboro Kiwanis, working to develop what is to be known as the “Art Region of Texas” and has served on several local, regional, and state boards and planning committees. Though never activated, he joined the Navy Reserves soon after September 11th through May of 2010.
Shepard is as Grassroots as they come. “I’ve always lived in rural America – it’s home. I understand the challenges people are faced with.”
An Independent...
I am not Democrat or Republican. I will not affiliate myself with any specific group. I want to do what is best for everyone regardless of any labels. I will not accept lobby or PAC money for the campaign.
As the Congressional Representative for the 4th District, I promise to be involved with each community in the district on a regular basis; develop local think groups in each County for advisement purposes; ignore lobbyists – I represent you only. I will speak boldly in Washington and remind them of their limitations. This campaign is not about any of the candidates. It is about you and bringing representation back home to the 4th District of Texas... together.
