Introduction
Carlos Aranda was born in Asunción, Paraguay in April 15th, 1968.
Started playing soccer since elementary school and became professional at age fourteen in 1982 when a football Club Gral. Martin Ledesma hired him in Capiatá. In 1985 won the first championship with the first team. Later transfer to play for Gral. Caballero de Zeballos Cue, in 1987/88, first division, Liga Paraguaya de Fútbol (LPF), now Asociación Paraguaya de Futbol (APF). In 1989 played for Club 2 de Febrero of Capiatá winning the second championship. In 1990 played for one of the top clubs in Paraguay, Club Guaraní, then 1991 played at Humaita FC, second division, where the team finished second place. In 1992 played for Club Cristobal Colon and won the third championship as a soccer player in Capiatá.
Over twenty years of experience in soccer, playing professional soccer, also playing for Paraguay Futsal FIFA National Team, coaching high school boys and girls soccer, and serving as a university athletics administrator. Exceptional coaching track record of success. Developed and coached the American School in Japan (ASIJ) Girls Soccer Team to win five consecutive league championships in 5 years (2007 – 2011), as well as two Far East Tournament Championships (2008 & 2011) for the first time in school history. In addition, coached the JV Boys Soccer Team to win two league and tournament finals the past 2 years (2010/2011).
Excels at instilling a teamwork mentality among players and motivating them to give their best in every practice and game. Fluent in four languages (Guarani, Spanish, Portuguese, and English) with experience working on 3 continents (North America, South America, and Asia).
Graduated in 1986 from Colegio Nacional de la Capital, Asunción, and in 1993 from the Universidad Autónoma de Asunción (UAA), with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. Started up and organized all sports activities for the first time at the university as an athletics director. Planned and supervised all athletic activities, tournaments, events, and publicized all activities and represented UAA at national events. Screened and selected coaches and created a scholarship program to support the students/athletes. Led UAA to win their first-ever National Championship in the Universities Games in 1992.
