Sinequan – Anti Depression & Insomnia Medication
Sinequan – treating depression and insomnia
Sinequan is a medication that belongs to a group of drugs known as psychotropic agents. It holds both tricyclic antidepressant and also anxiolytic properties which makes it suitable for treating both depression and insomnia which are two most common uses for Sinequan. Depression is a medical condition that is the most widespread condition in the modern world, with as much as 25% of people experiencing some sort of depression at one point or another. However, for some people, depression is chronic and needs to be treated with medication. Insomnia, on the other hand, is a medical condition that is much more than just being unable to fall asleep normally. It also includes waking up at night, interrupted sleep, not being able to fall back to sleep once awoken and it all results in a reduced quality of life. It is therefore also needed to treat this condition with a medication and Sinequan is a perfect choice. Besides these two uses, Sinequan is also used in treatment of anxiety disorders, allergic rhinitis, as it also holds some antihistaminic properties and it can also be used in helping people with alcohol withdrawal symptoms. In some cases, Sinequan is even used for treating chronic pain, tension headaches and gastrointestinal ulceration. AS you can see, Sinequan is a versatile medication, while it is still mainly used for depressive disorders and insomnia.
What else do I need to know about Sinequan?
There are two instances in which you will not be able to take Sinequan at all. These cases are untreated narrow-angle glaucoma and severe problems with urination. Also, if you have taken MAO inhibitors within two weeks from the moment of your first intended dose of Sinequan, do not take the medication, as these two medications may interact in such a way that your life will be threatened. In some other cases, your doctor will most likely need to run some additional tests and to adjust your dosage to make sure your Sinequan treatment is safe. These cases include sleep apnea, bipolar disorder and liver diseases, as Sinequan is mainly metabolized in liver. If you are using Sinequan for insomnia, you need to take this medication 30 minutes before going to sleep. No matter for which condition you are taking Sinequan, it is very important that you do exactly as prescribed by your health care provider, meaning that you should never take more of this medication than prescribed and that you should keep using it even if you do not experience any beneficial effects of Sinequan straight away. In some cases, it simply takes some time for Sinequan to take effect, especially when used for treating insomnia. You need to inform yourself about any possible Sinequan side effects as well as about any Sinequan interactions with other drugs.
Make sure that you keep all of this in mind and you will feel all the benefits of Sinequan which are many and which will help you lead a healthy lifestyle once again.
