Contains 81 selections from 78 shows dating from "The Fortune Teller" of 1898 to "Fiddler on the Roof" of 1964.
Most of the tracks are original cast recordings or versions by original cast members. Within their basic goal of reflecting "the significant trends, authors and performers in the medium" producers Dwight Blocker Bowers and Margaret Robinson get in one selection from just about all of the most famous musicals of the period with a few wild cards thrown in. Except for a few of the earliest tunes, the sound quality is exceptional. Hi all,
Over the past few months, I've leeched many lovely musicals from this forum, so I thought the least I could do is help out in the post-MU re-upping efforts. In light of recent current events in Cali and WA, I thought perhaps this charming little show was particularly appropriate. Here is a re-post of "Zanna Don't", originally from: Title: Zanna Don't Actors: Jai Rodriguez, Anika Larsen, Amanda Ryan Paige, Enrico Rodriguez, Jared Zeus, Shelley Thomas Date: June 27, 2003 Location/Language: Off-Broadway, John Houseman Theatre; English Quality: Fantastic video of original cast. Great close-ups... a few heads in the wide shots, but taper shoots around them nicely, and captures all the action. Format: VOB Links: Enjoy, and please PM me if there are any issues. I am still learning the ropes here... |

This is the Avenue Q OBC, a re-up for eleventhdimension, originally from here --
Title: Avenue Q Actors: John Tartaglia, Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Rick Lyon, Jennifer Barnhart, Natalie Venetia Belcon, Jordan Gelber, Ann Harada Date: 7/26/03 Location/Language: Broadway, English Quality: This is a pretty good video of the OBC. There are occasional cover-ups, and it's missing the video opening. Format: VOB Links: Sorry for the bazillion splits... but MediaFire allows simultaneous downloads, and at least I figured out how to link a folder this time rather than spamming a huge list of individual links. And finally, a REQUEST -- is anyone willing to re-up the pro-shot 2010 Australian cast of Avenue Q, from this post? As much as I worship and adore the OBC, I am dying for a more modern version of this show, and I am kicking myself for missing the boat on this one. Thank you all! |
