Process of Elimination

This morning started off with a tiny pill and a big bag of human drano.

The drano had to be consumed carefully:  180cc every 10 minutes.

And then I spent a lot of time here.

Just so I could end up here.

The doctor asked if I wanted copies of the butt cam photos and I declined without first thinking about you guys… I’m so sorry.  I know you all wanted to take a peek up my what-nots–I should have accepted copies to post here… Next time, ok?

Here are the highlights:

  • Best:  Double cheeseburger and steak for dinner.  Yes, I had both.  It was a celebration.
  • Worst:  The gas.
  • Interesting:  My anus looks about the same from the inside as it does the outside (sorry, no pics).
  • Surprising:  The drugs were strong enough for me not to think anything was surprising.
  • Cool:  I got to watch the video live.
  • Painful:  Getting around the corner.
  • Funny:  The nurses laughed when I said I was going to McDonald’s for a double cheeseburger afterwards (my name is all over their paperwork).
  • Sad:  I didn’t think to get the photos.
  • Sweet:  They let my girlfriend stay during the video shoot.
  • Good:  My colon was the cleanest it’s been in years.
  • Great:  My colon looked great.  (again, sorry no pics).

Really, my favorite part of the day was when Michica stayed with me and prayed for me.  It can be a bit disconcerting when people are poking around your unmentionables and you don’t have a clue what they’re saying to you.  Michica is the most comforting, loving person I’ve ever known.  Please pray that she is blessed many times over for the sacrifices she continues to make over here.

I’m convinced that all was well because I am loved; by God and by you.  Your faithful prayers and support have encouraged and sustained us through the most difficult of times.  I am so grateful for your love.  God is good, and he is great.

Thank you, thank you, thank  you!
