Thomas Nathan Krueger was born in Sangerhausen (Germany) in 1986. His musical education began in 2000 by becoming student of the music-specialized boarding school Landesschule Pforta. There he got lessons in singing, piano playing and conducting. After he started composing in 2004 he wrote several pieces for the ensembles and choirs of the school – inter alia choral works and an opera. Since April 2007 he studies composition in the class of Michael Obst at The Liszt School of Music Weimar. From February to July 2011 he studied in the class of Beat Furrer at the University of Music and performing Arts in Graz/Austria. His music is published by Verlag Neue Musik Berlin. Since 2010 Thomas Nathan Krueger is scholarship holder by the German National Academic Foundation. In addition to several composition-prizes he also won the Franz-Liszt-Prize 2010. He worked with designated musicians like the percussionist Markus Leoson and his music is played by ensembles like Staatskapelle Halle/Saale and Minguet-Quartett. He was tought by Nigel Osborne, Wolfgang Rihm, Frederik Durieux, Pär Lindgren and others. His music almost concentrates on visual aspects of its players and their performances.

1986年ドイツのザクセン＝アンハルト州に生まれる。2000年音楽専門の寄宿学校に入学し、歌・ピアノ・指揮を中心に音楽の勉強を始める。2004年から作曲を始め、声楽曲やオペラを中心にアンサンブルや合唱団のために作曲をする。2007年よりワイマール・リスト音楽院にて作曲をミヒャエル・オブスト氏に師事。2011年よりグラーツ音楽大学にてベアト・フラーのクラスに在籍。作品はベルリンのフェアラーク・ノイエ・ムジークより出版されている。2010年より、ドイツ国立学術財団の奨学金を受けている。2010年フランツリスト賞受賞。これまでに、打楽器奏者マルカス・レオソンと作品制作に取り組むほか、シュターツカペレ・ハレ／ザーレ、マインゲスト四重奏団などに演奏されている。作曲のレッスンをナイジェル・オズボーン、ヴォルフガング・リーム、フレデリック・デュティーユ、ペール・リンドグレン等から受ける。演奏の視覚的効果を狙う作品を発表している。
