HDR can make the ugliest, run down, industrialized cities seem appealing and beautiful. They seem to capture those cities from a different perspective and highlight different elements from that familiar scene that you would had never noticed before.

    Wonderful collection of photos! Gorgeous shots! I was wondering if you could change the name of one of the photos though. it says Tempe Town Lake, USA .. Tempe Town Lake is not a city, its a body of water in the city of Tempe, Arizona, USA. I also think those visiting from other countries might like to know what State in the USA the place is. Just an idea

    Favorite: Avila, Spain Asturia, Brazil and Chicago. BTW, it’s Chicago with an “o” not Chicage. Please fix.
    Least favorite: Vienna. I’m sorry but this a horrible photograph. There are better images on Flickr that can do Vienna justice. Also, Edinburgh is way too dark. No detail. Hard to appreciate.

    Just a note: the photo labeled Asturias is, in fact, from Guarujá, Brazil. The author just compares it to Austuria, Spain, saying it’s its brazilian equivalent.

    Too much USA, to be honest.
    That one of Edinburgh though was awful. There are far better pictures, of such a beautiful city, on the intert than that. I live in Edinburgh, and when I look at the city, I do not see that.

    Thanks for including my photo pf Palermo, Italy. In response to the comments about Dubai…..I REALLY wanted to take some last time I was there however, the sky is very white most of the Summer, at least and it was so humid. I was there nearly a week earlier this year at I was so disappointed at the weather conditions……Maybe next time I will be more lucky. I agree it would be a beautiful image to capture under the right conditions.

    Most of these are technically very poor HDR images. Moscow, Austin, Vancouver, Dallas, and Stockholm aren’t even HDR images. Some are pretty good, like Asturias, but most are extremely poor. Definitely not a good representation of HDR or these cities.

    Very nice, but I think you forgot Helsingborg, frequently called one of the most beautiful and scenic cities not just in Sweden, but in (get this) Europe! Not to mention clean, well-kept, historical, great architecture, a certain unique, surrealistically contintental, cosmopolitan atmosphere, nice and friendly people, beautiful parks, an amazing ocean view, beach etc.
