Hi, when viewing folders, I like the folders to display the icons in
alphabetical order. Windows XP remembers my settings for each folder. However, just recently, when I have been viewing files through the browse window, the icons are not listed in alphabetical order, they are in random order. I right click on the browse window, go to "arrange icons by name" and the files are back in alphabetical order however, when I close the browse window or go back and then jump forward in the browse window, the files/icons are arranged randomly again. I have "remember each folders view settings" ticked in the folder options. I have also increased the amount of folder views Windows XP can remember. By default, windows can remember 400 folders, but I have increased this to 1000 but I still have this problem. Like I said, the icons are arranged by name when I view them normally, but in the browse window, they are always arranged randomly. What is causing this? and how would I correct this problem? thanks for any reply |
