Welcome all to the Razorlight Rock of Ages: Guitar Gunslingers Windows 7 x64

This build is based off of Windows 7 Professional N x64 by default there is only 4 tweaks applied

DEP is Disabled

Uac is Disabled

Power is set to high performance

Themes are patched to use 3rd party themes

This is my tribute to some of the greatest guitar players and rock bands in music. There is no Internet Explorer
or windows media center in the build, I have added windows media player that does not come with N versions
by default along with other media dll's that you will require. This build includes a great selection of rock
walls, rock bands user pictures, sound bites (a lot applied by default with theme),
Lots of custom cursors, a custom windows media player and custom windows picture viewer.

This build is trim and very fast you can apply only the tweaks you would like from wpi to customize your install
and be setup in 5 mins after install with only the tweaks you would like. There is a great amount of apps for you
to choose from off the wpi. Including a custom rock msn messenger among others. Apps sounds tweaks cursors and so
on will be listed below to see whats included.

I would like to thank Mr. Grim for being the best themer out there having used many of his elements in the
custom rock theme. I would also like to thank my buddy The Black Page for all his complaining on who and what bands
should be in this build lol

2. You can use the eicfg_removal_utility to change this ULtimate ISO to a "universal" disk that will give you a choice to install Ultimate, Pro, Home Premium, Home Basic, or Starter. Just click on the eicfg remover application and then select the windows 7 ISO.

3. This (untouched) windows 7 Ultimate file is an ISO image that you will need to burn to a USB or DVD-R with UltraISO as follows:

For USB

Double click on the windows 7 ISO then click the bootable tab then write disk image.

For DVD-R

1. Right-click the ISO image then click UltraISO then Burn to Disc
2. Select a minimum Write Speed (8x recommended)
3. Click on the Burn button

Then you can either install inside windows or clean install from boot.

Multilingual User Interface Pack is a set of language specific resource files that can be added to the English version of Windows Professional. When installed on the English version of Windows, MUI allows the user interface language of the operating system to be changed according to the preferences of individual users to one of the 33 supported languages. This allows large corporations to roll out the same worldwide image with a single install job. Local users can then select the user interface language or it can be set by Group Policy for Organizational Units.

MUI also allows different language users to share the same workstation or roaming users to take their localized user interface from one workstation to another. For instance, one user might choose to see system menus, dialogs and other text in Japanese, while another user logging onto the same system might prefer to see the corresponding text in French.

MUI is an add-on to the English version of Windows XP Professional and Windows 2000 family of operating systems, and will not install on localized versions of Windows XP/2000 or on Windows XP Home Edition. Every additional language installed will require approximately 115 MB extra disk space for Windows XP, 45MB for Windows 2000; East Asian language support requires an additional 250 MB.

Created by Rocks Team, this is a Windows XP x64 Professional version (64 bit) with SP2 which is updated upto March 2010. Note that Microsoft has not released SP3 for x64 version. But have no doubt - it's an absolutely wonderful Operating System.

No Nlite!

We have not used Nlite to build this version. Normal Nlite based modified Windows might show some problems when updating/repairing a current windows setup or performing a RIS setup. Note that we have nothing against Nlite - its a great tool to have a customized windows installation. We don't hate Nlite. Its a great tool in the hands of a master. But most of the modified versions running around doesn't seem to the work of a master...Our aim was to create a regular version which is fairly stable with no flashy content like the other modified Windows running around.

Size? OOPS!

So about RockStable - Though we got the final aim of having a pretty stable edition, it has just one problem - its huge size. You must already noted this - its almost twice as much as the other versions that you are likely to encounter. But we feel that our OS will be worth every bit.

It's Stable - not Freaking Fast

And one more thing guys, this edition is for those people who want a Rock Stable OS and not for those guys looking for a Freaking fast OS.

Its Attended - not Unattended

This is not an unattended version. Rather this is a version which is attended and it can be used for repairing an existing Windows XP x64 (64 bit) installation or for RIS (Remote Installation Service).

Purebred

This is a purebred version of Windows with only the critical updates integrated into it. Purebred? lol.. I am sounding like a Nazi.. Well I am not. No new versions of Windows Media Player, DirectX or any other stuff is present. Though we thought of doing this, we had doubts that this might compromise the overall stability of the OS.

Bugs?
If you find any, please report them.

SATA Drivers
Please dont ask me to integrate drivers with RockStable Edition. I am not going to mess it up by using nlite...But as my fellow demonoid user "trickyricky" suggested - go into the bios first and change sata to ide compatibility. This will make XP work for you.

Beware
Please be aware of the fact that there are some so called RockStable unattended versions running around with all sorts of shit integrated into them - we are not responsible if they crash on you.. lol..

Installation:

Just burn the file "RocksTeam-WinXP-x64-RockStable-2010-03.iso" into a DVD and boot from it. Use the following CD key during installation.

Make sure that the updates are present in the OS

To make sure that the updates are present, after installation - go to - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs - tick - Show Updates.
