Default Force "List" view

Hey all,

what would be the regedit to force all my folders to open in "List" view. Everytime I open some folders (even on Mapped drives), the view reverts back to "Thumbnails"

Thanks,

Heeter

Ha I have the same problem and I was seriously googling it before I came here. Except mine doesn't revert all the time, just when the computer restarts. Or is your computer doing that to you too?

Try this Nevermind that one is pretty stupid and poorly written. Maybe try some of these instead and I'll them it too. We'll compare notes afterward.

Edit #2: Crap, none of these seem to be that great. I will investigate further.

I already had that mod, Petros.

I increased it to 8000 decimal for both regedits.

This one looks good (random corruption/misreading of the key). It's the flamethrower approach, which is ALWAYS my favorite way to handle computer problems.

Whew! That fixed it for me; hope your luck is similar. List view 4 lyfe homiez.

Fire up explorer.

Tools > Folder options > View

click reset all folders.

Set the folder view to list in explorer,

set other options you want in folder options but uncheck remember each folders view settings.

When happy click apply to folders.

Be happy
