How do i change the default view for files that i want to open?  whenever i
select "file" "open", the view is always "preview".  i switch to "list" find
the file i want and open.  when i go back, the view is back to preview.  All
of my other windows programs open from tthe "list" view.  How do i change PP?
thank you.

I dont think it is "unsolvable"?

Try going to windows explorer. Set the view there to list and then go to
tools>folder options >view " apply to all folders"

Works for me!

Hope that helps

thanks for the reply.  i've tried this more times than i can tell you.  From
the other posts, there seems to be a glitch with the program PowerPoint 2003
running with Windows XP Home Edition.  The other threads had 20 plus posts
with MVPs involved (you might have been involved in one of them?)  thanks
anyway.  i have one other source and if it fixes the problem i will post it
here.

If anyone has another solutuion besides Windows Explorer>Tools>Folder
Options> Allpy to All (plus Remember each folders view settings) pls send it.
Thanks.
