This might be worth a try...
Open up a Command window, e.g. from XP you could click on Start, Run, type CMD into the box and then hit the Enter key. Type in the following command: ATTRIB -H E:\ *.*/S Basically what this command will do is remove the hidden file attribute on your USB drive (the 'E' drive), and the "/S" switch will mean it processes files in all directories in the specified path. I'm not familiar with the Free Hide Folder app, but I doubt it's that sophisticated and may just provide an interface whereby people can change attributes easily without doing what I just suggested. |

According to a post I found here http://theunl33t.blogspot.com/2010/1...de-folder.html
The files are accessible through the command line similar to what LochLomonder suggested. ----=====[ Snippet ]=====---- "DIR /A:SH CHKDSK.*" (the /A:SH will show hidden and system files and folders)" ----=====[ Snippet ]=====---- The you can unhide it with: attrib -H -S CHKDSK.* know this is an old post but perhaps others in the future will benefit from this |

The FHide Folder software not only changes attributes but also changes folder names to CHDISK.XXXXX or similar and where XXXX can be a mixture of numerals and extended characters.
You don't say which OS but under WinXP and above such hidden system folders are normally capable of being simply viewed by opening MyComputer and by changing the Tools > Folder Options > Folders View settings and by also not hiding Protected system files as in the pic below. Registry and Group Policy settings may however mean that no matter what you do you may not be able to effect these changes and these hidden system FOLDERS can remain super-hidden from both MyComputer and from the Command Prompt. If the RYCYCLER folder remains invisible, even at a command prompt, then those changes have been enacted. If this has happened (and its possible that the hiding software makes such changes to your system) you should still be able to access the files from any decent Linux Live CD such as Puppy or Knoppix or Ubuntu or by Windows forensic software such as WinHex. Post back if you need additional help or any specific links. PS I hadn't read Okashiro's link (a very good resume) before I had posted having done my own independent research.
