I find that sometimes after a re-boot my folders do not honor the 'remember each folder's view settings' checkbox. I use large icons for most folders and sometimes I find them reset to lists. I change them to view icons, close them, open them up and they show icons. Re-boot and I sometimes have to do it all over again.

When viewing your files, click on the Tools menu, go to Folder Options. Select the View tab. In the Advanced settings list, see if "Remeber each folder"s view settings" is checked. Or you can just click the "Apply to all folders" button to make them look like the current folder.

I have the 'remember each folders view settings' checked always!! That's what I don't understand. Why this happens and I boot up and am looking at a list instead of a folder with icons.
