customize >> folder options I have the "Remember folders' view settings" checked in
the folder options. However, about once a week I open my
folders and they are not the same as the last time I
opened the folder. It seems that this happens after I log
off for the night. The next day the folder view
options "reset". This does not happen every day, only
about once a week. I have all my folders open in a small
window rather than a full screen and I have most folders
display tiles. When the folder settings "reset"
themselves, all of my folders open in a full screen with
the files displayed in the "list" view. This is VERY
irritating. What am I doing wrong???? I have never had
this problem with my Windows 98 at home! I hate XP!

Thanks,

Becky

customize >> folder options Something to try, Becky,

When you close your folders, instead of using the File, Close method,
Hold down the CTRL key and click the "X" with your mouse on the upper right
corner.
This is known as a Hard Exit, and should retain your screen setting.

customize >> folder options Hi Becky,
This may help. Download and apply the edit. And then reset the folder views
according to your choice.

Increase folder view size limit to 8000 (line 2, left column)
