Bharatha Killed, Duminda Wounded‎

A longstanding rivalry between two government members, Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and Duminda Silva, turned ugly on election day yesterday resulting in Premachandra being killed and Silva suffering serious head injuries.

Director of the Sri Jayawardenapura General Hospital Dr. Shavendra Gamage told The Sunday Leader last night that even after over four hours of surgery last evening a bullet still remained in Silva’s head and he was receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of the hospital.

The clash erupted when Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and Duminda Silva met each other face to face in Hindutana lane in Mulleriyawa just as voting in the local government election was about to end last evening.

A heated argument had ensued between the two and a bodyguard of MP Silva opened fire towards bodyguards of Presidential Advisor Premachandra. Gunshots were then traded between both sides and this resulted in Premachandra and two others being killed and Silva suffering serious injuries, police sources told The Sunday Leader.

A large number of Duminda Silva’s supporters thronged to the Sri Jayewardenapura Hospital and some were even manning the security points in the hospital that led to the intensive care unit.

The youth stood side by side with the hospital security staff to check the passes given to the visitors to the hospital. Several VIPs also made their way to the hospital to inquire into Silva’s condition.

Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa was one of the first VIPs to arrive at the hospital and stayed at the hospital for over one hour. Director General of the Media Center for National Security (MCNS) Lakshman Hulugalle and several other state officials also arrived at the hospital.

Meanwhile, STF personnel were deployed to provide security to the hospital. Police and Special Task Force officers had been deployed in Mulleriyawa and a dusk to dawn curfew was also imposed till 6 a.m. this morning.

The rivalry between Duminda Silva and Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra goes as way back as when Silva was in the UNP, intelligence sources told The Sunday Leader. After he joined the government he was given the UPFA Kollonawa chief organizer post which was earlier held by Premachandra. Duminda was later given the chance to contest for a seat in parliament under the UPFA ticket.

Things got out of hand when Silva recently assaulted the former chairman of the Mulleriyawa-Kottikawatte Pradeshiya Sabha, Prasanna Solangarachi, a supporter of Premachandra, intelligence sources said. Solangarachi was a candidate for yesterday’s election and Premachandra ran into Silva in Mulleriyawa while the former was on the road in support of Solangarachi.

Police Spokesman, Maxi Proctor, said that investigations into yesterday’s shooting had been handed over to the CID.





 Doctors to predict Duminda’s condition in 48 hrs.




Doctors say they will be able to predict the condition of MP DumindaSilva, who was seriously injured in a gunfight atMulleriyawa yesterday (Oct. 08), only after 48 hours.



He is being kept under observation at the ICU unit at Sri JayewardenepuraHospital, said the hospital’s director Dr. Savendra Gamage.



It is risky to move him to another hospital, he said.

How you Changing the Icon Spacing in XP?














You can manage your desktop icons in windows XP horizontally as well as vertically spacing. You can change the location, size of icons and spacing between icons manually but you can arrange these setting using windows methods.
First Right click on your windows XP desktop then click on Properties option. Here click the Appearance tab then go to Advance button and under Item  you will find many options to change the desktop icons, for example choose icon spacing in both ways and then here you can change the size putting number (minimum or maximum) under size. When you finished all setting then click ok button.

How to set specified folder view to all Folder Views in windows XP and Vista?














Today tip will help you to manage the specified view of all folders in windows XP and Vista. By default, you have options to choose the view of folders contents as thumbnails, titles, icons, list or display with details. But this change will apply on the folders that you are currently working in. On the other hand, with the just few more clicks, you can change the view of all the folders on your computer.
Follow the given steps to accomplish this task through the Folder Options dialog box.
First of all open any folder, click "View" and choose the view you would most like to use.
Now from the Tools menu, click on Folder Options" to open the Folder Options dialog box.
Here on Folder Options dialog box, select the View tab.
At the top of the dialog box, click Apply to all folders button.
Now a new confirmation message will appear as "Set all the folders on your computer to match the current folders view settings (except for toolbars and folder task)? Change will occur the next time you open them."
Click OK in the Folder Options window to save the changes.
Now all the folders on your computer should display contents in your chosen view. As before, you can still change the view in individual folders via the "View" button.

How to apply animation on text or objects in Power Point 2010?














t is very easy to apply animation on text or object in Microsoft Power Point 2010. Animations are applied to emphasize certain things, other objective is to avoid boredom of audience and keep their interest intact through whole presentation. It also helps you to control flow of information, for example if you are explaining a certain point and you do not want your audience to get distract by next points then by help of animation you can stop next points.
You can apply animation on not only text but also on shapes, tables, pictures and other object. The visual effects that are included in Power Point 2010 are exits, entrance, changes in Font Sizes and Colours.  You have the option to apply one or multiple animation on one object. Both methods are described below.

Instructions:
1.     Open your desired Power Point Presentation, to which you want to apply animation.
 
2.     Highlight / Select the text or object you wish to animate'
3.     Click on the Animation tab, from “Animation” Group, apply your desired animation.
       
4.     To see more Animation Styles, click Red Highlighted Button
 
And you will see a range of different animation listed under the categories mentioned above that is Entrance, Exit, Emphasis and Motion Paths. To access detailed animation choose “More” options, as shown in the bottom of the picture.
 
 Applying Multiple Animation to a Text or Object
If you wish to apply “Multiple” animation that is more than one, to a single text then perform steps listed below.
Instructions:
1.     Click on the animation tab
2.     Under the “Advanced Animation” Group, click on More Animation. A list of Animations will be opened; you can apply your desired one.

8. දැන් ඔයාලගෙ තිරය මත උපදෙස් කිහිපයක් එයි.ඒ අනුව ක්‍රියා කර DFU mode එකට ඇතුලු වෙන්න.
9. ඔයාගෙ iPhone එක DFU mode එකට ඇතුලු වුනාට පස්සෙ iTunes ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන්න.
10. දැන් shift key එක press කරගෙන Restore button එක click කරන්න.
