This husband and wife team offer their products to nearly 2,500 successful US and international retail mega stores. Dansko means “Danish Shoe” in Danish. The team figured out on their first Dansko sales product while on a vacation in Denmark. It was believed that they were at a farm on horseback riding. They soon created their own shoe and tested it and realized that this basic shoe would be more than suitable for wearing around the countryside. Soon after, their friends and family wanted to try the clogs. And the more they came back, the more they wanted new Dansko shoes. Not too long from then, they started selling clogs out of their station wagon as they moved around from place to place.They sold their horse farm in 1993 and began a journey that they both never thought would happen.
