I am planning on buying the apple iphone 8gb, the 3G, but the thing is, i don’t want the plan, and just the phone. How much will this cost me, and where can i buy it for a reasonable price besides ebay? also, how much is warranty?

The router at my house isn’t working anymore so i tried to make an Ad-Hoc for my iphone 4 to connect to but when i connect to the network i have made it never works. And My iphone doesnt have the sim card in it.Can anyone tell me ways to connect my iphone to my computers internet connection?

Wouldn’t the better solution be to repair or replace the failed router? That’s what I’d do.

For that matter, are you sure it actually failed? Most routers have the ability to turn off their wifi. That’s what you mean, right? The router works for the hardwired computer, but not for the wifi connection to your iphone? Log into the Admin acct of the router and check the wifi before you spend any money.

I had my computer rebooted and lost everything. Now ive downloaded itunes again and need to get my music and movies from my iphone onto my computer again. How can i do this?
i cant find enable disk use on the itunes summary of my device.

(I’m not sure if this will work for an iPhone – I’ve only tried it on an iPod):

1. Enable hidden folder viewing: Control Panel > Folder Options > View > Advanced Settings > Hidden files and folders > Show hidden files and folders.

2. Select “Enable disk use” from the summary page in iTunes while your device is connected to the computer. Then you go to My Computer, select your iPod, and click on the folder called iPod Control. One of the folders in there should contain all your music. From there, you can copy and paste the files to your computer’s hard drive and re-add them to your library.

Note: The file names will look like a whole bunch of jumbled numbers and letters. You can fix this (or you can just leave it, since it doesn’t really affect anything). To fix it, you need to go to iTunes > Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Keep iTunes media folder organized. Then iTunes will rename all the files so they have the proper names.

I know that the iphone works for at&t but does it work for any other company?

For USA, the only two options are T-Mobile (Unlock) and AT&T.

I am due for an upgrade and was thinking about getting an Iphone 4 but have to pay an extra £99.00 as well as changing my tariff to an extra £5 per month. The Iphone 3gs is a free upgrade. Is it worth paying the extra for the Iphone 4.

My laptop is using 64 bit and since I’ve upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 my iTunes doesn’t recognize my iPhone when I plug it in. When I look at My Computer it lists my iPhone as ‘iPhone Camera’ instead of ‘My iPhone’. How can I fix this (and please don’t be generic and say get an Mac). I’ve uninstalled iTunes and still no luck.

I just got an iphone 4s the other day, and i put all my music on there. I have way over 1000 songs on there and its taking to much space on my iphone. I really don’t want the music on there. How can i get the music off of my iphone w/ out deleting anything from my itunes? I’ve tried unchecking all the songs but it still puts them on there.

2 options:
1st- Delete songs/albums/artist straight off your device with just sliding your finger across the object name and a “delete” button will appear.

2nd- delete songs with itunes. first connect your device to the computer–>open itunes–>click on your device in the left hand side–>click on music from the top bar–>check to radio button named “selected playlist,artist,album, and genres–> select the songs you want on there–> Sync!

My iphone 3gs does not vibrate when i get a message but does vibrate when i get a call. How do i get it to vibrate for both?

Go to message settings which means open text message screen where you can see who all has texted you not just 1 conversation. Go to settings by pushing menu and turn on vibrate

I have an iPhone 3G 8GB, and was planning to rebuild my computer. How do i keep all of my apps, and files on my phone after the rebuild. I know if you sync it with another PC, that you will erase your previous configuration. Some of the music was not purchased from itunes.

Make sure to sync your phone with your computer, then copy your itunes music folder to another pc, usb drive or burn it to dvd.

Anything you purchased from itunes you can download again, but if you copy your itunes music folder then you can drag the songs from that folder into itunes on your rebuilt pc.

100 songs will not download onto my iphone because it says the computer isn’t authorized to copy the songs onto my phone. I tried de-authorizing and reauthorizing my computer, but that doesn’t work. Is there anything else I can try to get my music on my phone?
