Adam and Cheri met in January, 2001 at a coffee shop in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Adam came up and introduced himself and Cheri was taken by his charm. After a few chance meetings the two went on their first date. The sparks flew, and three dates later on the way up to a skiing weekend Adam asked Cheri to move in with him.
Despite the bets of their friends and family, Adam and Cheri's love affair lasted more than a month. Over the next six years, the two shared four apartments, started up two businesses, traveled, biked, bought a dog, sold a company, and renovated a house.
On Christmas morning, 2006, Adam and Cheri hiked up to the top of their favorite spot, Third Hill on Mount Agamenticus in York, Maine. As the two sat at the top enjoying the view, Adam popped the question and Cheri said YES!
Cheri Haley was born on September 9, 1978 and grew up on the coast of Maine, sailing with her mom and dad in the summer and skiing in the mountains of New Hampshire in the winter.
In 2000, she graduated with honours from King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia and, with Adam's support, started up a web design studio two years later.
Cheri loves: gardening, hiking, biking, skiing, traveling, Adam and Cleo, their yellow lab.
Adam Hegi was born on October 2, 1973 and grew up in the woods of Gilford, New Hampshire.
An avid mountain biker, Adam biked across the U.S. twice before starting up a computer company in Portsmouth, which he recently sold in January after 11 years.
Adam loves: mountain biking, snow boarding, scuba diving, kayaking, outdoor adventures, traveling, Cheri and Cleo.
