There are six cabins, ranging from one bedroom to three. Each has a fully-equipped
kitchen, and all but one is air-conditioned. There are two rates listed
for each unit: full service includes linens, and cleaning after your departure;
self-service, which is significantly less expensive, means that you provide
sheets and towels and clean the cabin thoroughly before leaving. Tax is
6%; Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
The total capacity of Lost Canyon is approximately 25, depending on sleeping
configurations. For a group of 25 renting the entire facility, it works
out to approximately $26 per person per night self-service, $29 per person
per night full-service (not including the dining hall). Please note that
the stated capacity of the cabins may not be exceeded without prior arrangement.
We request a 50% deposit for groups renting the entire facility, payable
upon making the reservation. The deposit is refundable if the reservation
is cancelled more than 90 days from the arrival date; after that it is
not refundable, including for rainy weather, unless there is a flash-flood
watch in effect.
Because we have a small capacity, and most of our income depends on groups
renting the entire facility, we cannot accept reservations for individual
cabins on weekends more than 90 days before the arrival date.
Finally, since our sanity depends on getting some down-time for ourselves,
Lost Canyon is closed from the Tuesday following Labor Day until the first
weekend in October, and for a few weeks every winter. Please don’t
ask us to make an exception, because we will be tempted to say yes and
we really, really, need to say no!

living and sleeping area with a queen-size bed and day bed. The
kitchen and bath are on the top level, and there are two single
beds on the middle level. This cabin is not air conditioned, but
it has several ceiling fans and wonderful breezes from the pond.
In winter there is a heavy clear-plastic awning that closes the
