Testimonials & Reference Letters

To Whom It May Concern:

This is a letter of reference regarding Skip Faulkner. I have known Skip for the past eight years – and have worked with him closely on several editorial and photographic projects for American Health & Fitness magazine for men (AHF). I have enjoyed working with Skip over the years on various exciting occasions, including flying to Aruba to cover the International Male Model Competition, among others. Skip is always professional and eager to help in any way possible.

Among his photographic talents, Skip has helped brainstorm new story ideas for the magazine in conjunction with the publisher Robert Kennedy and myself – as well as conducted interviews and contacted PR affiliates. Skip has successfully photographed and maintained relationships with some of the top athletic teams and persons in the country such as: Roger Clemens, RCR Racing and Dale Earnhardt, The Pittsburgh Steelers, The U.S. Marines Corp., The Washington Capitols, The Houston Astros, The Miami Hurricanes, and The University of Central Florida. He has also photographed several fitness models in the industry.

Skip is a very creative individual on many levels: photography, story suggestions and ideas, athlete interviews, and sustaining larger publicity roles. He is a pleasure to work with and certainly takes his career seriously.

To conclude, Skip would be an asset to any organization looking for a capable, friendly photographer with a creative eye.

Sincerely,

Kerrie Lee Brown

To Whom It May Concern:

This is a letter of reference regarding Skip Faulkner. I have had a professional relationship with Skip for the last three years. I considered Skip after viewing a coworker’s outstanding photographs. After learning his name, I discovered that Skip had quite the reputation as an exceptional photographer.

Skip was hired to photograph the foster and adoptive families of Queen Anne’s County, Maryland. This job required Skip to work with families and children in a professional and confidential manner. Skip demonstrated flexibility, an ability to work with people of all ages, and to network with other professionals.

After reviewing his work as well as his work style, I hired Skip to photograph my engagement pictures. After receiving my beautiful pictures in a timely and professional manner, Skip was hired as my wedding photographer, and this was no small request. Our wedding required Skip to fly to Central America and to stay in unfamiliar surroundings with complete strangers. The result was an over the top job by a photographer who was a pleasure to be around. I personally witnessed several other individuals requesting his services as a result of his excellence. These jobs included other weddings and creating a documentary for a local restaurant.

Skip can be very creative in order to achieve his objective. He has an ability to think outside of the box, work well with other individuals, and his work is incomparable. In closing, Skip would be an asset to any organization in need of a friendly photographer with an artistic eye.

Sincerely,

Patty Linder, LCSW-C

You have a wonderful gift and I hope that you will do many more pictures for us in the future. We just found out this week that we are actually pregnant again, so maybe we can do some pregnancy pictures this summer. You exceeded all of our expectations.

YOU OUGHT TO BE IN PICTURES
Hallelujah A magazine that is meant for women just like me! Those other women's fitness magazines are okay, but yours features women who have solid muscles and aren't afraid to show them. Not one skinny arm to be seen! I think I have the same kind of firm, fit look as the models you use but I have never been photographed. l would like to be. l think I would look great. Do l have to pay an expensive fashion photographer to shoot me or can I go to a wedding photographer or one of those "glamor" studios to get shots done? They sound cheesy, but they're closer to my budget.

o Editor: If you really want to have a portfolio to be proud of, shop around for a good studio. Peruse photo samples to decide whether the photographer achieves the look you're aiming for. If you're totally serious about fitness modeling, you are sure to get the best results if you contact a photographer who is experienced in the field. He/she will know how to pose you properly. As well, the pros have connections with the big magazines. They can push your images if they like what they see. Some of the industry's top photographers are listed below. Why don 't you contact one and see what develops? (Great pun don 't you think?)
