A.M.P-Rose 5IST Wrapping Machine

Rose Forgrove 5IST twist wrapper

The 5IST is designed to wrap a wide variety of different types and shapes of sweets, including solid and centre filled high boiled lines, toffees, chocolates, fondants etc. High speeds can be achieved by using one of the several different automatic feeding arrangements available.

Style of Wrap
Double-end fantail twist, sachet (including variation cestello), single-point turned-under fold and crimp. Machines can be supplied interchangeable between the first two styles. Machines supplied for fold wrapping are not readily interchangeable for other styles.

Wrapping Materials
Twist:
waxed paper, cellulose film or PVC, with or without an understrip of backed foil or with a bonded understrip. Sachet or cestello: waxed paper or cellulose film, with an understrip of backed foil.
Fold: waxed paper or heat-sealing cellulose film, with or without an understrip of backed foil. If the wrap is unsealed, the main wrapper may be backed embossed foil, with or without understrip of waxed paper.
Standard reel core diameter: 77mm (3in)
Maximum reel diameter: 305mm (12in)
A special feed for an understrip of unbacked foil is available.

Sequence of Operations
The 5IST can be fed by one of several automatic or assisted feeds, depending on individual requirements. The sweets pass from the feeder to an intermittently rotating disc, with pockets cut to suit the size and shape of the sweet.  From here they are elevated to a six station pocket wheel for wrapping and subsequent discharge by inclined chute.
