In the management of peepapp service, eureka, Inc. will comply with Act on the Protection of Personal Information, other related laws and regulations, as well as the guidelines of relevant ministries and agencies, will strictly control personal information of the users, and will maximally respect privacy.

1. Definition of personal information

The term “personal information” as used herein shall mean information, such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, organization name, e-mail address, credit card number, and IP address, which can identify a specific individual from one piece or a combination of pieces thereof.

2. Purposes of utilization of personal information

peepapp collects and utilizes personal information of the users within the following purposes:
1) Response to inquiry
2) Important notice on service maintenance, etc.
3) Distribution of information with the consent of the users
4) Prevention of acts against laws and regulations, terms of service, etc.
5) Analysis of statistical information obtained from de-identification processing
6) Services required for smoothing home delivery of articles, settlement of funds, etc.

3. Acquisition of personal information

peepapp acquires personal information of the users within the necessary minimum with use of proper means.

peepapp strictly controls personal information of the users.

5. Correction, discontinuance of utilization, and deletion of personal information

A user demanding correction, discontinuance of utilization or deletion of his/her personal information is allowed to make a request therefor through the web site of peepapp.
Provided it is confirmed that the request was made by the user or his/her adequate representative, peepapp will conduct the correction, discontinuance of utilization or deletion of the personal information.

6. Disclosure of personal information

peepapp will not disclose personal information of the users to a third party without their consent. However, this shall not apply to the following cases:
1) Cases in which the disclosure of personal information is based on laws and regulations
2) Cases in which the disclosure of personal information is necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of an individual and in which it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person
3) Cases in which the disclosure of personal information is specially necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and in which it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person
4) Cases in which the disclosure of personal information is necessary for cooperating with a state organ, a local government, or an individual or a business operator entrusted by either of the former two in executing the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations and in which obtaining the consent of the person is likely to impede the execution of the affairs concerned
