WBA’s HIGHROLLERS CLASSIC 2011
$100,000 GUARANTEED
Combining a week of Backgammon and Poker in the heart of the Caribbean, at the Luxurious Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, in Punta Cana, is what all those in the “know” are talking about for this November 7th to 13th 2011.
Prior to the start of the Punta Cana Poker Classic, (PCPC) (8th -13th November 2011), this back gammon event (7th – 9th November 2011) promises to be action packed, and guarantees a prize pool of $100,000. The PCPC main event featuring both celebrities and professional poker players will begin play on the 8th November, with a buy-in of $1,500 + $150.
The entry fee for the back gammon tournament is $5,000 with 90% return. This event has limited places – 64 players, to be given on a first come first served basis.
Format: Main event (15 point matches, clocked), “Fighters Bracket” (progressive consolation, 9 points, clocked), no Last Chance. The finalists in the Main event and the finalists in Consolation will compete in a play-off for 1st to 4th place.
Prize distribution: Winner (50%), Runner-up (25%), each Semi-Finalist (12.5%)
An additional Super-Jackpot will be played on the last day, for those knocked out of the competition in its earlier stages. Entry for this tournament will be $1,000 with 90% return, single elimination, 9 point, clocked.
