PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

1. What is SuperSurf?

SuperSurf is a data promo that gives you affordable and reasonable rates for internet access on your mobile device. This is a new add-on data plan that offers unlimited chatting, downloading, emailing, and surfing wherever you go. It is available to both Postpaid and Prepaid subscribers.

2. What are the denominations I can avail?

Denominations are as follows:

  • 1 day internet service for only P50
  • 5 days internet service for P220
  • 30 days internet service for P999 (available for Postpaid only)

3. Who can avail of the SuperSurf Add-on?

Any Prepaid or Postpaid subscriber with a GPRS-capable phone can avail of SuperSurf except for subscribers of the following iPhone/BlackBerry Plans:

  • All Extension Plans
    • Load Tipid Plans
    • Load Allowance Plans

Postpaid subscribers who currently have other data add-on plans may avail of SuperSurf, provided that they terminate their existing add-on plan first before subscribing to SuperSurf. These include subscribers with the following add-on plans:

  • Mobile Surfing Plans
  • Personal Blackberry Add-on Plans

4. I am a Postpaid subscriber and I have a current add-on. Can I switch to avail of SuperSurf instead?

If you intend to end your current add-on plan that is still within lock-up period to avail of SuperSurf, termination fee of the current add-on plan will be waived only if you avail of SuperSurf P999 since this is considered an upgrade.

5. I am a Postpaid subscriber and I am on a pay-per-use charging scheme at P5 for 15 minutes. Can I avail of SuperSurf?

If you are on time-based browsing scheme, you can avail of SuperSurf. You do not need to change to KB-based charging scheme to use the service.

6. I am a Postpaid subscriber currently subscribed to a data-related plan/add-on. Can I avail of the SuperSurf Add-on Plan?

Only one data promo can be availed at a time.

7. I am a Prepaid subscriber currently subscribed to a Mobile Surfing offer. Can I register to SuperSurf?

You cannot register to SuperSurf if you are already registered to a Mobile Surfing offer. You must finish your current subscription or unsubscribe from it to be able to register to SuperSurf.

8. What are the benefits/savings I can enjoy if I subscribe to SuperSurf?

  • You can surf all day, worry-free for a fixed amount. No surprise charges!
  • You can also save more money if you register to SuperSurf compared to the P5/15 minutes or P0.15/kb browsing charging scheme.

9. What is the difference between the Regular SuperSurf and BlackBerry MAX?

Both the Regular SuperSurf and BlackBerry MAX offer unlimited data plans that will enable you to email, chat, and browse as long as you want. However, BlackBerry MAX is only for BlackBerry mobile phones since it comes with the push email service. SuperSurf Add-on is suitable for any kind of data-capable phone.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

1. When is SuperSurf available? Is there a validity duration for this service?

SuperSurf is available until December 31, 2011.

2. Is SuperSurf available only for certain times of the day?

This surf-all-you want service is available 24/7.

3. After subscribing/accepting, how will I be sure that I am enrolled in SuperSurf?

SuperSurf will be activated right away. Just wait for the text confirmation

4. I am a Postpaid subscriber. How can I subscribe to SuperSurf?

For Postpaid subscribers, you can register by sending the following keywords to 8888:

MYSUPERSURF ON (30 days)
SUPERSURF ON 220 (5 days)
SUPERSURF ON 50 (1 day)

Wait for the text confirmation to know that you are already subscribed to the service.

5. I am a Prepaid subscriber. How can I subscribe to SuperSurf?

For Prepaid subscribers, you can register by sending the following keywords to 8888:

SUPERSURF220 (5 days)
SUPERSURF50 (1 day)

6. How much do I have to pay to avail of this add-on service?

Depending on your chosen subscription, you only have to pay:

  • P50 for 1-day internet access
  • P220 for a 5-day internet access
  • P999 for a 30-day internet access

The 30-day variant is currently only available for Postpaid subscribers only.

7. How long is the subscription valid? Is there a lock-up period?

There is no lock-up period required for the SuperSurf Add-on. The available denominations have different validity periods that range from 1 day to 5 days and 30 days.

8. I am a Postpaid subscriber. Do I have to register monthly to SuperSurf?

Only the P999 denomination of SuperSurf for Postpaid will auto-renew, unless you unsubscribe from the service.

9. How do I terminate my SuperSurf subscription?

You can terminate your SuperSurf subscription by:

  • Texting SUPERSURF OFF to 8888
  • Visiting our Globe Store
  • Calling your Talk2Globe Hotline

10. Why did you lower the price of the 30-day SuperSurf to P999? Will the 1-day and 5-day SuperSurf prices be lowered too?

We want to make surfing on your mobile phone more affordable for you. However, the 1-day and 5-day services will remain the same at P50 and P220 respectively.

11. I am already an existing SuperSurf 1200 subscriber. What will happen to my subscription?

If you registered before January 15, 2011 or your 30-day service auto renewed before January 15, 2011, you will be charged P999 for SuperSurf on your next month. Your subscription fee will automatically be changed to P999.

If your 30-day SuperSurf auto renews on or after January 15, 2011, you will be charged the new rate of P999 for 30 days

PRODUCT USAGE

1. I went to a Globe Store and applied for the SuperSurf Add-on. When can I start using it?

You can start using your browsing service after you have received the text message confirming your subscription.

2. Do I have to keep on renewing my SuperSurf subscription?

For Prepaid subscribers, yes, you will need to register again upon expiry of the service.

For Postpaid subscribers, the SuperSurf P50 and P220 expire. You have to manually renew your SuperSurf P50 and P220 subscription. If you are subscribed to SuperSurf P999 for 30 days, you do not have to renew every month. Only SuperSurf P999 will be auto-renewed for you every month unless you unsubscribe from the service.

3. I have a Globe Tattoo Broadband. I subscribed to SuperSurf. Can I use my SIM with SuperSurf with my Tattoo Broadband?

Yes, you can. But it is highly recommended that you use your SuperSurf for mobile surfing and not on your Tattoo Broadband. Remember that your SuperSurf Add-on is embedded in your Globe Postpaid Plan, which is your main line for calling and texting as well.

4. Can I still avail of the Postpaid Mobile Surfing Plans given that there is already a SuperSurf add-on offer?

Mobile Surfing Plans are no longer offered to new subscribers starting October 28, 2009. Old subscribers of Mobile Surfing Plans may continue using them, but it is highly recommended that you subscribe to SuperSurf to get more value for your money.

5. I am using a BlackBerry/BlackBerry-connect handset. Can I avail of SuperSurf instead of BlackBerry MAX?

It is highly suggested that subscribers using BlackBerry and BlackBerry-connect handsets to avail of BlackBerry MAX rather than the Regular SuperSurf. This is because push email capability of the BlackBerry/ BlackBerry-connect handsets is already embedded in the applications of handset, which can be maximized once BlackBerry MAX is availed.

6. I am using a non-BlackBerry/BlackBerry-connect handset. Can I avail of BlackBerry MAX instead of SuperSurf?

BlackBerry handsets are tailored to activate and use BlackBerry applications. In this case, if your phone is not BlackBerry, you should opt to avail of SuperSurf instead of BlackBerry MAX to get your money’s worth.

7. Can I end my current Globe Postpaid line and subscribe only to SuperSurf?

If you are on a plan lower than 3799, you can get the New MySuperSurf Planfor only 999 for a surf-all-you want service plus FREEBIES.

8. I am currently subscribed to time-based browsing. Will I still be charged the P5 for 15 minute rate when I avail of SuperSurf?

Once you subscribe to SuperSurf, you will not be charged P5 for every 15 minute session.

9. How much will I be charged for using mobile internet after being subscribed to SuperSurf?

You will have no additional charges for data services as long as SuperSurf is still active. Upon expiration of SuperSurf, you will be charged P5 for every 15 minute session or P0.15 per kilobyte, depending on your chosen default scheme.
