Notes on Submitting Patches

Patch submission checklist:

  1. Ensure your patch applies cleanly against the latest prerelease package, or the git 'master' branch.
  2. There is a script in the git repo called 'check_docs.py' used for checking documentation consistency. Please run this before submitting the patch, as it will point out anything you may have forgot to document.
  3. Use the ``--enable-testing'' configure option to turn on pedantic compiler warnings. This helps to maintain Conky's portability.
  4. Please use the SourceForge patch tracker to submit patches to ensure they don't get forgotten. You can also email them, but there is a good chance they will get lost in an inbox somewhere.
