午前中は牡鹿半島のO公民館において炊き出し・リラクゼーション・保育・Psycho Education（PTSD症状を緩和するための心理教育）を提供しました。
■18th July, Monday
In the morning we supplied meals, offered relaxation, child care, and Psycho Education (A psychological education to mitigate PTSD syndromes) at O community center at Ojika peninsula.
炊き出しメニューは、冷たいとろろ蕎麦（そば）150食です。梅雨が明けて暑い日が続くなか、冷たい蕎麦を食べたかった人は多くいらしたようで、役所のスピーカーから広報して頂くと、あっという間に行列ができました。
The meal supplied was 150 “tororosoba”(cold yam soba noodles). In this season of really hot weather which comes after the rainy season, there seemed to be many people who wanted to eat cold soba noodle, and when an announcement was made through the town office’s speakerphone, lines of people gathered quickly to taste the soba meal .
リラクゼーション・チームは、整体チームのKさんたち3名とのコラボレーションで活動しました。RFJスタッフは、交感神経を休ませ、副交感神経の働きを整える「リラックス・タッチ」で、急性期PTSD症状を訴える被災した方々のケアに当たりました。
The relaxation team acted in collaboration with Mr. T and 2 others from the Seitai (Japanese massage ) team. The RFJ staffs cared for the victims who complain of acute PTSD syndromes, by using the “relax touch”, which has an effect of resting the sympathetic nerve system and conditioning the work of the parasympathetic nerve system.
午後は渡波・K浜会館で、RFJスタッフ総力戦で「ゴールデン・ビーチ・カフェ」をスタートしました。
メニューはオニオンスープ、サンドウィッチ、サラダ、かき氷（いちご・メロン・ブルーハワイの3種類、練乳たっぷり！）。80人以上の地域の方々にご利用いただきました。「安心できる居場所」をつくることで、そこに人が集まり、笑顔のコミュニケーションが生まれます。かき氷は子どもたちに大人気でした。
In the afternoon, all of the RFJ staff got together and worked full force to start the “Golden beach Café” at K hall in Watanoha area. The menu of the café was onion soup, sandwich, salad and “kakigoori” (scraped ice dessert topped with syrups of 3 different tastes- Melon, Strawberry, or Blue Hawaii, and lots of condensed milk!) Over 80 people of the area visited the café. By making “a place where one can feel safe and relax “, people gather , and communications and smiles come along. The scraped ice was a great success for the children too!
東京の物資支援チームに集めて頂いた礼服60着も、K浜地区の人たちに大変に喜ばれました。
The 40 mourning clothes collected by the goods supply team in Tokyo were also greatly appreciated by the people of K area.
リラクゼーションで参加してくださった整体師Kさんは、ハエよけの蚊帳（かや）のなかで被災者のケアに大活躍！東京の物資支援チームや、翻訳家Sさんが支援して下さった蚊帳（かや）が、こんな風に役立っています。
Mr. K, a seitai (Japanese massage) therapist who participated in the relaxation program, was in full activity taking care of the victims, in the mosquito net to keep off the flies. The mosquito nets which were contributed by the goods supply team of Tokyo and Mrs.S, a translator, are being used fully in such ways.
カフェでのサービス提供が終わり、K浜会館を出ると、素晴らしい夕焼けでした。こんな美しい夕焼けを、東京では見たことがありません。K浜会館に集まった方々、RFJスタッフたち、みんなの顔がオレンジ色に染まっていました。
When we all left the K hall after the café service finished, the sky showed a splendid sunset. We had never seen such a beautiful sunset in Tokyo. Everyone’s faces; the visitors to the cafe, the RFJ staffs, and all who were there were glowing in beautiful orange light!
