東日本大震災発生直後から、災害緊急支援チーム リカバリーフォージャパン ＜Recovery For Japan＞ を立ち上げ、被災地の救援活動に取り組んでいます。

Immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake, we, members of the Roots Project Counseling Room, have launched an emergency disaster supporting team “Recovery For Japan” , and have been engaged in relief activities of the devastated area.
The details of our activities will be reported every week.
Recovery For Japan (RFJ) では東日本大震災の発生直後から、組織をあげて東北の被災地支援に取り組んできました。
RFJは、治療共同体Roots Projectに拠点を置く団体です。

東日本大震災の被災地の復興支援活動のために、Roots Project のメンバーや、その活動を支える対人援助職たちが中心となって震災の直後に発足しました。
Roots Project代表世話人の臨床心理士、富永滋也には、阪神淡路大震災に通信社記者（当時）として関わった経験がありました。富永を始めとし、治療共同体Roots Projectを支える専門家のなかには、米国サンフランシスコのアライアント国際大学臨床心理大学院（AIU/CSPP）で臨床心理学を学び、Master of Arts（米国大学院の修士号）を修得した者が多く（田中淳一、角田みすず、など）災害発生時の被災者のPTSDケアのトレーニングを受けています。
阪神淡路大震災では、神戸の街が復興する陰で、長年にわたって発生し続けた仮設住宅での被災者の孤独死や、アルコール依存症、自殺の問題は深刻でした。震災関連死を一件でも少なくしたいというRoots Projectに関わる専門家、ディレクター、そしてメンバーたち一同の切実な思いがありました。

Immediately after the Eastern Japan Earthquake occurred, the staff and members of the Roots Project, set up a supporting team “Recovery for Japan”(RFJ) to aid the of the devastated area of the Tohoku prefecture.

Recovery for Japan was started by members of Roots Project and their assisting staff to support the recovery of the devastated areas of the Eastern Japan Earthquake.
The representative of Roots Project, Shigeya Tominaga, a clinical psychologist, had the experience of witnessing the Hanshin Awaji Earthquake in Kobe (1995) as a journalist of a news agency. Besides Tominaga, there are many Clinical Psychotherapist and specialists supporting Roots project, who acquired their MA degree in Alliant International University( AIU/CSPP) in San Francisco, USA. ( Jyunichi Tanaka, Misuzu Tsunoda etc.). They have also been trained in the care of PTSD of victims of emergency disasters.
In Hanshin Awaji Earthquake, behind the reconstruction of Kobe town going on, there were serious problems of victims who passed away without any help, in the temporary housings given to them, of loneliness, alcoholism, and suicides which lasted for many years. The members, directors, and psychological specialists of Roots Project all felt that they had to do something to reduce the earthquake related deaths as much as possible.
