The conference "Scalars 2011" in Warsaw is jointly organized by the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw and the Polish Physical Society. The conference will take place in the historical Old Library building on the main campus of the University of Warsaw from August 26 to August 29, 2011.

The year 2011 is celebrated as Maria Skłodowska-Curie Year in Poland and France on the occasion of the centennial of her second Nobel Prize. All the participants of the conference are invited to join the celebrations on August 25 by attending a special pre-conference session in honor of Maria Skłodowska-Curie.
