Ok for all the brainwashed people saying that women who gets raped in Islam get killed or murdered.
If you get raped in Islam the man gets the deaths penalty immediately. That is why we have few rape cases in Islamic countries. Wikipedia rape penalty in Islam. Let me just copy and paste what is written so I won't be accused of lying.
"Rape
The majority of Muslim scholars believe that a woman should not be punished for having been coerced into having sex.[55] According to a Sunni hadith, the punishment for committing rape is death, there is no blame attached to the victim"
Sunnies are 90% of Islam

The figures shown here are only those acts of sexual assault that are reported to the police. In some countries listed here, women are afraid to report being raped in case the police see them as fair game for assault as well. Countries also differ in how they define rape: for example, some include marital rape in their rape statistics and others don't. It could be that the figures for Australia, Canada, Iceland and the United States among others are "inflated" as these countries may define rape more widely than others do.

This is a very important point to make. When crimes are accepted as crimes and great efforts are made to take such crimes seriously - reported cases increases. For example, no doubt many rapes go unreported in muslim societies becasue it is social practice for men to take what they want when they want it, from one of many wives. In such a paternal society, who would take the please of a women who says she has been raped seriously.

I'm sure this has been said, but in the USA we have commercials, television shows, billboards and hotlines all set up to provide support for raped or abused women. That tends to lead to a large percentage, or at least a larger percentage than a country that DOESN'T do all that, being reported.
So yeah, the USA might have a higher percentage of reported rapes on this table than many other countries, but that's a far cry from the statement that they have more rapes in general.

@ Ervin,

the low rape/capita rate in Saudi is mainly due to the capital punishment and strict laws in rape cases in KSA. Here's an example, two Saudi policemen were executed for raping a girl

In Australia the rates of rape have been inflated in the last 10-12 years, due mainly to a trend of racially motivated of serial gang rape attacks conducted by youths of a particularly ethnic origin (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney_gang_rapes; & here http://racismeantiblanc.bizland.com/005/01.htm). Many young girls were raped a multitude of times by numerous assailants over a period of hrs or days. I assume that the rapes have been individually included in the stats in proportion to charges on which convictions were obtained, so one girl violated by 10 men twice each would count as 20 rapes. Here is another article on an international trend, htp://97.74.65.51/readArticle.aspx?ARTID=6161, and one on the problem in Norway (which comes in 18th in this list http://www.brusselsjournal.com/node/4274.).
Political Correctness just for the sake of it (in my book the worst cancer eating away at society), prevents the release of information such as statistics on the ethnicity of offenders here, but I would suggest a large number would recognise thenselves as being from a non anglo ethnicity, whether first or second generation Australians. There is a real problem in Norway as well, as no doubt France and other places, and most can be directly linked to migrants. Sydney with it's multicultural & cosmopolitan society is a hotbed. The "Australians" are told to be tolerant but the migrants fail to assimilate and simply build up there own communities. The problem seems to be getting worse with the influx of many "refugees" or migrants from Islamic countries in the middle east and North Africa (Sudan). Australians are told to be tolerant and accepting as people from different culture, religious and ethnicity, (and often from rough dangerous lawless war-torn countries) come in and in many cases bring their attitudes and values with them. There have also been highly publicised rapes by visiting military from different countries (US and others), touring sportsmen and tourists. I am not sure what the answer. It is generally not as bad as the stats may show. For young girls or women, tourists or locals, I would say don't be too trusting too soon, don't be naieve, use caution & common sense. Stay with friends, don't get too drunk, don't stay out too late.

They are taking about reported rapes

with australia...they used a phone survey and not reported to police crime so its grossly inflated
this one and other crime ones are flawed on many levels
i had a debate with an american, so i went to research
australia is a phone survey on sexual assault that even included the threat of a sexual assault...america was a ' reported to police 'rape number
aus included the total population ..usa was over 14yr
1/2 of our sexual assaults happen to people under 14..so you can half the comparison number for a start ands further reduce by 80% ..the number of unreported to police rape

Some interesting statistics on rape in the U.S. at http://www.paralumun.com/issuesrapestats.htm You can't talk about "rape" without defining it. Many definitions are "sexual penetration without consent", which means that a husband can rape a wife. (Yet if a woman claims she was raped, we usually assume it was by a man who was not her husband.) Not only can you not talk about it without defining it, but there are no reliable statistics on it because many women do not report rape, for many different reasons. All we can say is that the reported statistics represent the very minimum.
